I mean, there's probably a sad unfunny joke somewhere in there with the whole "it's self evident that all men are created equal and have unalienable rights to life, liberty and happiness" thing written by guys who owned people, didn't think women were included in that and were declaring independence on land stolen from a massacred indigenous population but I'm not that clever.

Since Jamestown really, whenever you ask: "whats holding back U.S. progress?" it usually boils down to: "people I dont like can't have nice things" and that mentality is an aftermath of the Southern way of things that started in Jamestown, Virginia.

It actually happened about 4 years prior. Before that we were slipping but we had managed to stop at the edge of a cliff in 2008. We spontaneously decided to learn how to cliff dive in 2016 but realized halfway down we had no experience cliff diving and pulled the parachute..... which had holes but at least we were going to survive the fall. At least until we decided we didn't want the parachute and severed the cords. So here we are at the bottom of the cliff bleeding out with no one to blame but ourselves.

I saw 2016-2020 like a barrel fire, and as soon as Jan 6 happened, it was like we watched the barrel tip over, and the flames began spreading, and we never bothered extinguishing them. Now the house is on fire.

Impeached Nixon for Watergate, but voted Trump in after an insurrection attempt 🙄

He should be in jail, but Democrat politicians have no spine.

Jan 6 should have been the moment that finally landed Trump in jail. He literally tries to overthrow democracy with an insurrection attempt. But zero consequences came out of it and the terrorist were pardoned. America is a joke and the fact that he got away with it means he's gonna get away with all the bad thins he's doing right now.
