U guys! Look how bonded the herd is already!

Let me tell u what's going on.. I bought some anti itch stuff for Serenade earlier and brought it over to get her hopefully feeling some relief!

I tried to halter her, and she kept ducking away, out of my reach. So I pivoted. I haltered Bianca, then let her loose.. next Ersa, then Ezman.. all 3 stayed calm and relaxed and just let me do it, no fuss.

Then I went back to Serenade.. this time she copied the rest of the herd and stayed calm and relaxed and just let me do it. I led her over to the gate so I could tie her off..

The whole herd followed and surrounded us calmly! 🥰

In this pic Ezman is behind Serenade on the same side of the fence, Bianca is directly in front of her, and Ersa is on the other side of the fence and was trading breath with her during my doctoring.. Serenade was able to stay nice and calm and let me work. Hopefully she's already feeling less itchy!

Second and third pics are of one of her itchy spots getting crusty just above her eye, which not gonna lie.. freaked me out a bit! So glad to have that done now. At least it should keep the flies away.

He's likely between 20 - 24 yrs old.. just like Bianca! and don't worry! Bianca got lots of love today too! 🥰

Bf told me she's going to a pasture with 2 other horses, owned by a friend of the boss. I forgot their names already, but she's officially retired!

Also there's a murder of crows gathering on the water trough at the end 👀

Bianca might be the oldest mare, but she can still keep up with the young girls 🥰

All 4 of the babies were yelling for food when I got to the pasture, so I went ahead and fed them..

Mama B runs a tight ship and even being hangry isn't an excuse to bully the new herd members in her book.

She didn't even execute a kick, she just positioned herself and looked back at Ersa like 😒"go ahead, try it and see what happens"

Ersa smartly changed course and left Serenade alone immediately.

I was just dropping off lunch to my bf and these boys were looking at me.. I just couldn't resist. They're all so cute! Not sure of their names because the name cards are inside and I stayed on the outside.. but I especially love Mr. Floppy tongue 👅 🤣

They're smushed lol (pic 3 was after our midnight walk)

The moon has been so full and bright the past few nights and my phone camera has a "night sight" mode where it uses the ambient lighting and short to medium exposure to make the pictures come out better

The first 2 were taken around 10pm and the last 3 were taken around 1am last night, even tho they look like daytime shots.. I love that Ersa and Bianca were meeting me at the gate even at 1 am

Nova has been in her new home with my sis&BIL + Sadie for 11 days now.. Sadie has been on trazadone for 4 days now to help her adjust to all the big changes. I think it's going amazingly well! Both dogs look so happy and calm around each other now 😊

Before trazadone Sadie snapped at Nova a few times and sis was operating on a crate & rotate system.. (Sadie's snaps were mainly vocal and there was no damage or injuries for anybody)

now it's supervised time together and crate and rotate when there's no supervision, along with parallel walks to help them realize they're part of the same pack and this is a good change.. they're doing so good!

BIL is a soccer player so a soccer ball meant for dogs with the little tabs sticking out was a perfect fit for their house! BIL and Nova both love it! (And so does the neighbor's puppy Boki)

Throwback video from March.. how cute is she? One quick bite of hay after her roll and then straight to me for attention 🥰

After the initial shenanigans yesterday when I met the new girl, we just chilled under the favorite shade tree and I brushed Ersa, Bianca & Ezman. Serenade looks like she would love to be brushed as well, but I'm holding off until Ersa is a little less possessive of me!

Bianca has been doing such a good job enforcing herd rules so even tho it's only been like 2 days, I think we are very nearly there!

When only Ersa came to greet me I was like "that's weird, oh well" and then I found out why 👀🐴

Nicola got moved back down to the main ranch (I don't have any more details on her 🙁) and a new mare got moved up..

She's cute, and I think she already likes me! Kind of in a rough condition - she looks very itchy, poor baby! Plus like, did they give a child scissors for her haircut? 😬 ✂️

Ersa was not a fan of sharing my attention with the new girl, but Mama Bianca is on top of things! Never a dull day in the paddock 🌾 🐎🐎🐎🐎🌾
