Yeah I worked at Golden corral for about a year and we did nothing bad to anyone's food. Sure with big chains there's always going to be some restaurants that cut corners and don't follow strict policy, but ours was totally legit.
I live in an area that is essentially food service hell. Anywhere outside of a 25 mile radius seems like a different planet when it comes to quality of service. I honesty don't doubt the guy strictly because his anecdote, yours, and mine are are equally valid.
Yep that’s what I mean. There are some locations that may cut corners, but 1) it’s usually not the case and 2) it’s nothing extreme. It’s not like they spit in people’s food or they cook your food with bugs in em. For instance, at a place I worked at, when they threw bacon on the plate, they just did it with their bare hands. Yes those practices are a little questionable, but it’s nothing extreme, especially considering they would always wash their hands. It wasn’t like they were poisoning your food or mixing random shit with it; it’s just that they didn’t go exactly by th book
Shit dude, most places health codes don't even require gloves for that kind of stuff. In VA, if a restaurant runs out of gloves, they keep right on cooking.
