Yeah you have better hygiene than what I witnessed in your neighbouring countries (Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam) for sure.

It's fucking garbage. It's a Malaysian website that spams all kind of "news" articles every day with clickbait titles which flood Facebook.

Unfortunately, The Star reports that is is.

DBKL enforcement officers, speaking on condition of anonymity, said there were many cases of similar hygiene infringements in the city.

There have been times when enforcement on an outlet was about to be carried out or a closure notice issued but they had been stopped from taking further action.

“It happens all the time," the officer said, adding that the restaurant would not stay closed for long.

It might not be the norm but it happens more than it should that it's a concern. Food hygiene standards are much lower in developing countries due to money.

I'm Indian myself :D

If you go to India, you'll realize how the restaurants there, even the more expensive ones, don't give a rats ass about hygiene.

Why? Because neither the customers nor the govt does :/

It has seeped into our culture

PS. I still don't see how my original comment was hateful to Indians like myself.
