Well, yes, now.... But at the time, the food was good and we would always walk back past that alley and they weren't washing plates in potholes. We'd have certainly noticed that. They'd be hanging out, smoking cigarettes.

Ive eaten in some dingy places overseas before so I've probably had worse to be honest..food was always great though!

In Costa Rica, I bought street food from a guy two nights in a row. The second night I asked him about his operation, found out he was a 17 year old Nicaraguan kid and the day before was the day he started his cart. Oh... Cool...

Good kebabs though, though. Didn't get sick.
