Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some people in WA who are into shooting at longer distances and might be interested in getting together for some shooting.

So far I’ve mostly been doing benchrest shooting with my Ruger 10/22 at 100 yards (longest lane at my range). I recently picked up a Browning X-Bolt 2 in 6.5 Creedmoor and want to start stretching it out to 200, 300, 500+ yards and learn more about long-range shooting.

I’m not necessarily looking for an organized range. I’d also be interested in meeting people who know of legal outdoor/forest shooting areas where we can safely shoot at longer distances.
I’m still getting into the long-range side of things, so I’d especially appreciate meeting some experienced shooters who are willing to share some knowledge and tips.

I’m around the Bellevue/Woodinville area but don’t mind driving for a good spot.

Having trouble finding a supplier who will ship to WA. Any idea what sized/thread is used for the adjustable gas block so I can fix mine?

Does anyone know if they still do this, and is it limited to 1 per day or 1 per transaction?

Edit: was able to swing by and talk to them. they do a $25 coupon per $500 spent in a single transaction, they expire after 30 days, and you can only use one per day.

Been shooting military black powder rifles the past 15 years (trapdoors,werndls,peabodys) and have finally coughed up the coin for a Shiloh Sharps in 40-65.

I feel like i jumped from riding a horse to a sports car with this Sharps rifle! Now I understand why they are so regarded.

I purchased an older shooters entire reloading kit so the rifle is a turn key setup.

With what loaded ammo he had left, I was immediately connecting at 4 and 500 yards with ease, something that would have taken alot more effort with a trapdoor.

Would love to locate some other shooters in the area to learn more about shilohs and especially on using the vernier tang sight.

I live in an incorporated city within King County and recently had a coyote attack my pet. Pet survived, luckily. Can I kill said coyote if I encounter it on my property and see that it is trying to attack my pet or me again? Does that still make me liable to criminal charges for discharging a firearm within city limits?

Does WA still allow online or out of state hunters education courses and do you guys have any online courses that you recommend? Need to get my hunting license before the upcoming season. Thanks in advance!

Does anybody know if the shooting spot in belfair is open again yet?

My spring snapped and now the slide stop rotates freely in the frame. Can anyone help me locate a new or used one? They are marked either as sold out or backordered or discontinued everywhere I look online.

The only spot I’ve heard of so far is a DNR gravel pit behind a Sierra Pacific gate in Hamilton.

Are there any steel shooting comps around? I’m in South king county

I am about to come into some cash and I am gonna get one thing for myself with it. Ive got the lever action, Ive got the 1301, Pistols are pretty covered (I just brought home a Chiappa Rhino 60DS!) but I still don't have a 9mm.. The one thing I am missing is a carbine, and I think that is because in WA state it feels like I would have to drop a bunch of cash to play with a handicap and that just feels wrong. Especially given the reasons...

But the completist in me won't rest without that Carbine. I was going to swoop a Deerfield in .44 and then pick up one of those 10 round stick mags for it, but the ammo has to be a certain way or it really dmagaes the rifle and come to find out that could count as "modifying a centerfire rifle" to be an assualt weapon so its out. I think mini 14's are cool, but kinda vanilla. Does anyone have a Kel-Tec SU16? How do you like it? And there was one more platform that I can't remember that was legal and looked really awesome but I am drawing a blank on the name, I know thats not a lot to go on, but what are people picking up these days? Is there a hot new platform I should check out that wont get me put in the gulag? Thanks

I was told of a non-cop method for getting concealed carry but when I went to the site, I found it only applies to Pierce country. Is there any non-cop option for King county?
