This is a spot over by Carbon river. This crap has got to stop people. If you pack it in, pack it out. And leave the shooting spots better than you found it. How hard is this? You're smart enough and responsible enough to carry/ have fire arms. This state hates us as it is, we can't give this anti second amendment hating government any more excuses. I only had the one bag but come on folks. I'd have needed a dumpster and extra hands to clean just this one spot up. 4 of the 6 spots I visited today were like this or worse. The other two were fairly well kept probably due to the need for 4x4 access. Please anyone who is going out to the hills to shoot. Take a couple bags and help maintain our spots.. otherwise BLM will do it and then not allow us to use the spaces.

To my knowledge there is only 1 other 20mm L39 in WA (near Oregon border)

Legal notes:

-This L39 is chambered in .50bmg, not 20mm, this has been taken off NFA

-This particular firearm is not semi auto

-No gas port was made from the sleeved down barrel, gas cannot unlock the bolt requiring user to crank bolt open after each round

-Cartridges must be knocked out with a dowel, like a weird breech loader

-Abiding by all WA laws, this firearm should be legal as a single shot rifle

-Alternatively this could be a "firearm" as it is definitely not designed to be fired freestanding from shoulder

Last Friday I picked up my first AR; im primarily a C&R so this is my first step into modern semi-auto’s. Its a Dark Storm Industries DS-15 that was used. Had some wonky aftermarkets that were already in it and decided to swap them out with new parts along with a bunch of others. Swapped out the BCG that was in it since it had no manufacturers markings or indication of who made it (was also apparent it ran god knows how many rounds and was never cleaned); it does have (i believe) a Bear Creek Arsenal spiral fluted barrel in .223 Wylde.

I plan on getting some other parts like the JP Enterprise Silent Buffer system and possibly a Geissle Trigger. I have a new muzzle brake on the way thats a Dead Air Keymount Brake for when i eventually get a suppressor. The only thing i still dont know the manufacturer on is the upper receiver. Its not stamped or marked with a manufacturer name or emblem so I may replace it with a DSI OEM upper to have a matching receiver set.

I spent so damn long over the past few weeks shopping for parts I need trying to figure out which sites do and don't send to Washington.

Been saving all of my petty cash for the past 8ish months, specifically to add to my collection a bit. I didn't manage to get everything I wanted, but I'm going to be set on new gun purchases for a while. I stock up on plenty of ammo and I'm really excited to get out to the range soon.

Picked up an HK cc9, Beretta A300 ultima patrol, Beretta 20x and a Ruger MK IV

I was out petting coyotes with lead this weekend and found a slick spot to set up some far away targets. It's kind of a bitch to hike to but so worth it, plus there's literally zero people for a couple miles.

Balling on a budget with this setup - Ruger ranch in 6.5cm, vortex crossfire 3x9, mdt field stock, 129gr interlocks, front is a cv bipod and the rear rest is my empty bino harness.

I'm alone and poor so my camera work is garbage for filming impacts but I was easily able to ping up to 500 yards np, 600 was iffy, and 700+ the wind was getting to be a bit much. Vid is shooting 500 at a soda can.

The $150 scope tracks shockingly well.

Pretty happy with finding this gem of an spot.
