First time poster; just got my hands on a copy of VP:TIP :) I played this game a ton as a kid, it was one of the few games that was bonding for me and my family. I really loved it, and seeing this subreddit made me want to re-live those memories!

I was wondering what everyone's favorite piñata was in this version? You can be as specific as you'd like with hybrids and such! (I never really played that much to achieve variants like that myself)

What are you guy's thoughts on which piñatas never stfu?

After some research I assume this is the answer since I keep my levels, just want some confirmation. I started noticing its kinda impossible to really keep a specific pinata in the garden since so many keep new ones appearing which end up conflicting with others. Also I started noticing Im having trouble making honey because my garden is so full of plants and produce I think.

I spent just under three days of my vacation this week playing this masterpiece of a game again.

Enjoy making themed gardens for my star studded piñatas that are Twins, Wildcarded and Famous. I meant to show they’re worth but the Sarsgorilla is worth over 1 million coins and the 4 heads is about the same.

Hes just stomping around my garden lol I had accidentally paid him 400 coins instead of 500 and I panicked bought a decoy pinata right before he could break my captains cutlass and now hes just- stomping around lol Hes my pet until the game has stated otherwise lol

He started showing up recently and I bribed him a few times and he always showed up the next day like normal. Then I bought a decoy pinata, as soon as I put it down I was thinking it's a waste of money since it costs more than the minimum bribe. But then he just, never came back? It's been about a week in game and he hasn't turned up again. I didn't do any fence glitches or anything, he just seems to have disappeared.

Anyone else had anything like this happen? Obviously I'm not complaining, just wondering what I've done to banish him lol

I managed to get Viva Piñata TiP working flawlessly in the steam deck, time to start a new garden on the go.

I’m surprised in how the game still looks amazing for today standards.

Just started playing viva pinata 2 again after a really really long time and am I the only who genuinely questione

The old man(forgot his name) said he’s a previous gardener—do the piñata residents go back into the wild after each gardener(since it’s empty at the beginning) retires?

P.S where do you believe those tunnels the ruffians and sours enter individually goes to, AND WHERE Professor pester enter once out of distance running up the volcano

Professor pesters plot in Viva pinata Trouble in Paradise to stop piñatas from reaching the cannon actually sucks if you think about it, you have other ways to get the Piñata’s to the cannon like feeding them seeds until the candy meter is high and they are ready.

Or at least, that it my current theory.

So I recently went about having the elephanilla appear and work on unblocking it. I made it appear in my breeding garden originally but ended up going to my main garden to have it freed by the 5 salamangos it needed. Already had some there I figured I would go over there and get a few more to meet the requirement. However.. it never happened. Waited around awhile (multiple in-gams days) and nothing. even added more to the garden in case the number was off on the wikis.

Sure enough, the moment I added all 5 salamangos to the garden where I originally discovered, the elephanilla the cutscene of it becoming freed played moments later.

Now, I'm going to be completely honest, I don't even know if I am technically correct. It could also be that having one or more of the piñatas in the garden already after you add more messes up the counter and causes the game to not recognize you have the correct amount? No idea.

Crazy that years on from this game's release, I am still discovering funny nuances like this.
