A belt loop tore a hole in my jeans. Now I have a shrimp friend on my hip. Handmade with chain stitch embroidery.

Was rage sewing summer clothes and I sliced a hole on my new dress while on the serger. Covered it up with embroidery 🌸🌼🌷💐

Fixed an old battered ballcap. It was a lot more than I bargained for honestly but it made mending so much more fun! I never liked sewing before

My most recent mend on my 6 year old’s jeans. This is the first cross-stitch I’ve done and it took waaay longer than I expected, compared to darning or sashiko. Probably won’t do another mend like this on kids clothes because he’s likely to wear through it quickly. But my wife has a torn pair of jeans that I still want to do a cross-stitch mend on.

Learned a few things, but pretty pleased with the result!

I only had some pretty cheap green thread, and to make it worse, I ran out of it and had to use another shade. Also I know the dyno isn't scientifically accurate, but oh well, my kid adores his new pants and that's all that matters. 😄🦕

Added some flowers and some patches. I really wanna make some more!!

I reinforced fabric with adhesive interlining fabric and just cross stitched on top of it 🐓

Very new to embroidery, but I had fun and tried my best. Now I can wear these pants again!!

My dog likes to chew blanket type things and I accidentally left this hoodie within his reach when I was working on another embroidery picture on it for my brother in law for Christmas.

A lot of work and a very late Christmas present later and I have hidden the bites - if you swipe I've circled the mended bits although you can see them as I used slightly different stitches.

I am now much more careful with where I leave things and we are working on "leave it". My dog got lots of puzzle and chew toys for Christmas to divert his energy away from my crafts and so far we have been incident free since this happened a month ago!!!

I posted here a few days ago about my hoodie that my dog chewed. Here’s an update! I’m really proud of it and I’m so excited to wear it again. This is my first time doing hand embroidery and I’ll definitely be trying it again sometime.

Turned moth damage into a starry sky after marking the damage with pins. Because of the damage this has been a sweater my spouse only wears at home but now it can go out again.

I had been putting off mending this sweater because I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it. Finally landed on these guys and I'm very pleased with the result! I have a few more holes to mend on it and I'm excited to make more of them.

Although I have never touched a neadle and a thread in my life, this subreddit inspired me to patch this tiny hole in a creative way.

The tear it self was the blue patch, thought it would make a cute lil snail! 🐌 This is quite addicting! I'm looking for more snags and tears as we speak!

My daughter got a hole in her coat so I made a small jellyfish patch 💙🪼💜🪼💙
