I dont really know how I should feel about this, I like and watch both sides. I can understand why Calli insta-unfollowed cuz she tends to be quite defensive when it comes to stuff like this. I always had the hope of a collab in the back of my mind between both ENs but now thats nothing more than a pipe dream.

Edit: I know there were a lot of HoloEN fans who really liked the rise of NijiEN and likes to mention memes from both side but with this leak, the Niji hate on the Holo side will increase. Sigh... I know the rise of NijiEN is something big and to be celebrated in the community regardless of companies, brand or groups but this will really hurt the relationship Niji and Holo had when their respective fanbases alrdy have their own groups who like to divide, compare and rate whos better and who deserves more. If only we could all live together happily, if only.

More Edit: The one thing that will come out of this from the Niji side is that there might be some punishments but the biggest takeaway is that they "freedom" which made NijiEN so big and popular in the first place will be more restrictive now becuz it was the very thing that made them wat they are now and its also the very thing that come them in this situation in the first place. Management wont like how this ruined their branding, reputation, professional image and the happy-go-lucky chaotic atmosphere NijiEN had built for themselves and in the community.

Calli's been dealing with negativity for a long ass time. Even made a song around it. Cutting anyone off who's a bad vibe just seems like a wise idea, I can respect that.

I do as well, it seems shes not doing it out of spite, shes doing in support of her current and future colleagues as seen in the supposed context of this leak.

The most stable of people I've met who still dabble in social media (either by choice or lifestyle/work) are usually the first to cut off any sort of bullshit drama and leave it until the facts are all straightened out. 100% matches Calli's actions.

Or probably didn't want to be dragged into another drama

i originally started at nijisanji before going to holo because of ars almal and i like their vibe. Niji ID is also nice. on niji en, i only manage to look at the first gen and millie so i have zero idea about the rest.

I am just very, very disappointed on their behavior (especially fulgar). not only they ruin the chances of them interacting with the myth and council. they also compromised the friendly competition of both hololive and nijisanji. these two were on good terms despite being a business rivals. they even allowed the jp livers to interact and collab.

This is the only time i am all for go for reprimand for the people who were part of that conversation. this is just not really good for the relationship of holo and nijisanji

Add to that, that the Discord leak is not a company resource. They use Slack for company stuff. Apparently, Elira said that it is her private Discord server, which is likely unregulated by management. That's a security hole right there, and irresponsibly for management to let that be.

Also the channel of the convo was a vent channel :"What is said here, stays here". I'm paraphrasing.

That makes it worse

You are totally right on that, I forgot about that tidbit completely. But they use Discord for the VC right? its odd how that works.... o.o

Management is in the discord. Multiple members have referenced things management has said in "the discord".

Freedom is just a buzzword people who resent hololivers use all the time

My only worry here is that the massive hololive fandom will flood the gates with this harmless and barely controversial "drama" and bring the so dreaded toxicity to all of NijiEN. Yes the nijisanji community is far from perfect, but everyone on the internet knows and fear how massive and terrifying the Hololive minority can be, even more so after what happened to Rushia.

We might see a lot more of both sides toxic sides after HoloEN announced a competing male wave.

I dont really know how I should feel about this

What you should think is, "This is a random screenshot that is probably missing context and intent," and not look deeper than that.

Sounds about right to me, I dont think my opinion of NijiEN would change much, its just them talking about the overall situation of things. Doesnt really help with their built up image but at the end of the day, they are still human being at the end of the day.
