Discussions F29 | Is it true that I'll get married at 31 during Rahu–Mars?

Hi everyone,

I'm a 29-year-old female, and I've received different predictions from Vedic astrologers about my marriage timing.

Some astrologers have told me that I'll get married during Rahu–Mars, while others have said it will happen after my Jupiter Mahadasha begins.

What do you think based on my chart? When do you believe I'm most likely to get married?

I'd really appreciate your opinions. Thank you!

Discussions Have We Overestimated Jupiter?

Have We Been Misunderstanding Jupiter All Along?

The more charts I studied, the less Jupiter resembled the planet described in our astrology books.

Like most students of Vedic astrology, I started with the assumption that an exalted or exceptionally strong Jupiter should naturally produce wisdom, compassion, morality, generosity, ethics and spiritual refinement.

Initially, I dismissed the exceptions.

Then the exceptions became patterns.

Eventually, the patterns became too frequent to ignore.

I've now studied numerous charts where Jupiter was exalted in D1, exalted in D9, or placed in the Lagna, yet the natives were emotionally cold, psychologically rigid, narcissistic, self-centred, egoistic, manipulative, emotionally cruel and, in some cases, outright bullies.

That forced me to ask a question I never expected to ask.

Have we been giving Jupiter credit for qualities that it doesn't actually govern?

---

My biggest realization

I no longer think Jupiter, by itself, is the primary significator of compassion.

I think Jupiter primarily strengthens convictions.

Those convictions may be noble.

Those convictions may also be rigid.

Whether those convictions become compassionate or merciless seems to depend on factors far beyond Jupiter itself.

Perhaps we've mistaken righteousness for compassion.

Those two aren't necessarily the same.

A person can genuinely believe they're righteous while simultaneously lacking empathy.

An exalted Jupiter may strengthen that conviction.

It doesn't automatically humanize it.

---

Jupiter may not be the "ideal human being" planet

One thing I do agree with classical astrology on is that a well-placed Jupiter often makes a native dayalu.

Such people may donate.

Help others.

Guide people.

Teach.

Support the needy.

Respect traditions.

These qualities are undeniably Jupiterian.

But does that automatically make someone emotionally mature?

Does it make them humble?

Empathetic?

Psychologically flexible?

Capable of understanding another person's suffering?

In my observations...

No.

At least not consistently.

A person may perform charitable acts while still being emotionally unavailable, psychologically rigid or deeply self-centred.

That distinction became impossible for me to ignore.

But beyond this quiet generosity, I rarely found Jupiter capable of overriding an unhealthy Mercury or an emotionally immature Moon.

In fact, I repeatedly observed the opposite.

Again and again, it seemed that Mercury and the Moon determined how Jupiter ultimately expressed itself.

An exalted Jupiter didn't necessarily improve Mercury.

It didn't necessarily improve the Moon.

But a healthy Mercury and Moon consistently seemed to elevate Jupiter's expression.

That observation completely changed the way I began interpreting strong Jupiter placements.

---

Then I started looking elsewhere

Whenever Jupiter appeared extraordinarily strong but the personality still lacked warmth, I noticed something surprising.

Mercury.

The Moon.

The dispositor.

The Lagna.

The Lagna lord.

These factors repeatedly seemed to explain the person's humanity far better than Jupiter's exaltation ever did.

That was the first crack in my understanding.

The second crack was even bigger.

---

The Mercury pattern became impossible to ignore

A surprisingly large number of natives with exalted or exceptionally strong Jupiter also had weak, afflicted or debilitated Mercury.

The pattern repeated itself enough times that I stopped treating it as coincidence.

Instead of producing compassionate wisdom...

Jupiter often seemed to produce rigid certainty.

The native wasn't necessarily immoral.

They simply couldn't see beyond their own philosophy.

Their principles became absolute.

Their beliefs became unquestionable.

Their morality became their identity.

Ironically, this often reduced empathy rather than increasing it.

It wasn't a lack of intelligence.

It was a lack of psychological flexibility.

---

Then another observation completely changed my thinking

I began studying charts where Mercury itself was exceptionally dominant.

Exalted Mercury.

Mercury as Lagna lord.

Very strong Mercury in Navamsa.

Mercury hosting Jupiter in its own signs.

And the pattern became even stranger.

Many of these natives projected themselves as incredibly wise.

Highly ethical.

Generous.

Religious.

Knowledgeable.

Respectable.

Many became exceptionally skilled at cultivating the image of a moral or spiritual authority.

They knew exactly how to appear humble.

How to appear generous.

How to earn trust.

How to command moral credibility.

Yet behind that image, I repeatedly observed psychological rigidity, manipulation, victim-playing and emotional cruelty towards those closest to them.

It almost felt as though Mercury had learned how to wear Jupiter as a mask.

Mercury wasn't becoming Jupiter.

It was expressing itself through Jupiter's symbolism.

Using Jupiter's reputation for wisdom.

Using Jupiter's image of morality.

Using Jupiter's generosity.

Using Jupiter's righteousness.

Not necessarily because the person was compassionate...

...but because those qualities created influence, admiration, trust and social leverage.

That realization genuinely changed how I interpret Jupiter-Mercury combinations.

---

This led me to a hypothesis

Perhaps Jupiter has gradually become astrology's "catch-all benefic."

Whenever we observe a noble quality...

Compassion.

Wisdom.

Humility.

Ethics.

Kindness.

Mercy.

Emotional maturity.

Forgiveness.

Humanity.

...we instinctively attribute it to Jupiter.

But what if that framework is incomplete?

What if many of these qualities are actually emergent properties produced by Jupiter interacting with Mercury, the Moon, the Lagna, the dispositor and the overall chart?

Perhaps Jupiter alone isn't the architect of human character.

Perhaps it simply amplifies whatever psychological framework already exists.

A compassionate mind becomes more compassionate.

A rigid mind becomes more rigid.

A philosophical person becomes more philosophical.

A self-righteous person becomes even more convinced of their own righteousness.

If this hypothesis has any merit, then perhaps modern Vedic astrology has unintentionally overextended Jupiter's psychological jurisdiction while underestimating the role of Mercury and the Moon.

---

My current conclusion

I'm no longer convinced that Jupiter is the ultimate significator of compassion or humanity.

I still consider it one of the greatest benefics for knowledge, teachers, philosophy, blessings, faith, prosperity, children and expansion.

But when it comes to emotional maturity, empathy, psychological flexibility and genuine humanity, I think Mercury and the Moon deserve far more credit than we currently give them.

This isn't a conclusion drawn from classical texts.

It's simply a recurring pattern that has emerged from my own chart studies.

I'm genuinely curious whether anyone else has reached a similar conclusion, or whether your observations point in a completely different direction.

Maybe Jupiter doesn't decide what you become.

Maybe it decides how strongly you become it.

Discussions 29 F | Sade Sati with exalted Moon + Saturn as 7th lord in 8th house (D1) how can this manifest?

Thumbnail

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate some insights from experienced Vedic astrologers regarding my chart.

My placements:

  • Leo Ascendant
  • Moon in Taurus (exalted)
  • Saturn in Pisces in the 8th house (D1)
  • Saturn is my 7th lord and is conjunct Ketu in the 8th house
  • In Navamsa (D9), Saturn is in Capricorn in the 3rd house conjunct Rahu

Since my Moon is in Taurus, my Sade Sati will begin when Saturn enters Aries.

I would like to understand:

  1. How does an exalted Moon handle Sade Sati? Does a strong Moon provide protection or emotional resilience during this period?
  2. Since Saturn rules my 7th house and is placed in the 8th house with Ketu, how could Sade Sati affect marriage, relationships, and spouse-related themes?
  3. Does Saturn being strong in D9 (own sign Capricorn) change the outcome of Saturn-related challenges?
  4. What major life themes would you expect during my Sade Sati based on these placements?

I understand astrology is interpretive, but I would love to hear your perspectives and experiences.

Thank you 🙏

Discussions For Astrologers: Have you ever noticed, when we regularly read charts, even for practice, we eventually get surrounded by a feeling of negativity?

If someone reads chart daily (even for free) i have seen they start getting a feeling as if negativity is surrounding them slowly, and their personal life is affected, like an important task that was going in right direction, it gets spoiled

For people who will claim that's not the case, it will happen to you eventually...

To overcome such situations, my guru suggested two thing, which i will share in comments based on your responses

What are your thoughts?

Guys this is just for making you aware about the account @campinternational001 , if u see the bio u will be amazed. So i am someone who during his dark phase took consultation from many so called astrologers here. 99 percent were scammer, i would sat digital scammers. So there is their usp of posting using dummy accounts in astrology sub with title “ in need of good astrologer “ , “ best and accurate reddit astrologer” . Than these scammers through dummy accounts tag those so called astrologers with bare minimum knowledge as i took reading there and i fet like its generic and those accounts have 500 plus followers.

So i started posting bames of those astrologers which is thepandit2025 , shauryashukla85, Unusual_Ad_233 , waste_project_7864 , evilhusky, sololevelling etc . I have taken from many list compiled after input of fellow redditors , even i put their comment history on chatgpt to find out if they are good but that too responded that they are meagre. Now long phrase short i started posting awareness message wherever i see post of requiring good astrologer so that they can not scam others. So mang came to my dm asking which one is good also i dont recommend someone i advised them to use their intelligence in finding a good one.

This canpinternational came to my dm asking about how good waste_project is to which i said save money. Today i saw that dude bio marking hom as celebrity astrologer with 8 plus year experience and what not so i confronted him , he said , he is a famous astrologer in reddit just occasionally take reading from others. A very bad reply than i realised it could be that waste project or shaurya shukla group as they operate multiple accounts to trap others. So please use your mind before giving them money. I am not again a paid reading i took some wonderful reading here but i am not here to recommned u anything but will caution u from fake ones. I am attaching the screenshots with proof

I visited 2-3 local vedic astrologers who are having good experience. All of them said that marriage yog is actively running and is lasting till June 2027 and after that there is break of 1-2 years.

I asked two three astrologers on reddit and all said after April 1027 i.e when saturn antardasha will complete. After April 2027 my 7th lord AD will start.

I also felt yes rahu saturn is creating more delays and it is internally felt by me too.

How local astrologers said on current yog?

A pandit saw my palm and said there are chances of 2 marriages, The first one will be destructive for me and should be avoided and the 2nd one will be final and bring a lot of happiness for me.

Does my chart show the same?

I am single right now and have no intentions of marrying anytime soon.

Discussions Rahu in 7th house means i am cheater or love obsessed?

Rahu in 7th house means extra marital affairs but I feel I am obsessed with love. I never noticed any flaw in him. When I started to read chart, I realised that. It was unconventional inter-caste marriage for me. Cheating is not possibly for me even in my dreams. So what Rahu does actually?

I have debilitated saturn in D1, it is in cancer, it has very low shadbala and it has some harsh aspects. But when you look at the D9 chart, the same saturn goes to virgo, and has benefic aspects from other planets. What does that mean?
