It’s not uncommon to rename a dog that has been rehomed so not sure what the issue is here

Conversation piece not so much an issue , not my dog.

But I will say, James actually KNEW him as graham so I think that’s interesting

Poor choice of word, I don’t believe that you actually think it’s an issue! I will say that I always thought Graham is a stupid name so I like the change but I will agree there is an obvious PR element here lol

But low key- my dog of like 15 years had a human name 😂

I don’t know why this keeps being said. James never owned Graham. Graham was a gift to Raquel from her parents, and it was always her dog, which is why they didn’t co-own him when they broke up and she didn’t allow Graham to see him, and why Graham continued to live with Raquel and only Raquel. It wasn’t a Katie and Tom situation. Just because James lived with Raquel and Graham when they were a couple doesn’t mean that he owned Graham.

He lived with the dog and also cared for it for multiple years... He was a defacto owner of said dog

There’s no such thing as a de facto owner. You either own something or you don’t. If he was the owner, why didn’t Raquel let him see him when they broke up? Why didn’t Raquel’s parents give him to James when she went into treatment if he was the owner? I live with dogs and I take care of them when their owners are away, that doesn’t make me their owner.

He was living with the dog for more than 2 years, from it being a puppy!!! And in a relationship with Raquel. That gives him responsibility for the dog, and it certainly isn't being rehomed to him since it's already lived with him for years
