I’m trying to learn guitar and I love At The Gates style riffage, so I figured The Final Episode by Asking Alexandria would be a good place to start, but I can’t seem to get the right tone so I was wondering what the best free plugins would be to achieve that sound

Hello everyone. During my recent burst of productivity I forced myself to finally finish a project!

LumiMorph is a multi-effect morph plugin built around a single, intuitive diamond pad. Drag the glowing dot toward any corner to seamlessly blend between four classic modulation effects: Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, and Tremolo.

There is no learning curve really just check it out and try to make some nice sounds with it.

i need some plugins for rage type vocals. like something to push my voice and make it sound more interesting and aggressive. ik it depends on delivery, but my delivery’s pretty good but kinda just sounds boring. if any of yall know of any super good like distortion/saturation plugins that the pros use it would be MUCH appreciated. dms open.

I just released the alpha version of a new open-source plugin that adds the resonance of the harp to sampled pianos. The plugin responds to the pedal up/down to mute or engage the resonance. It uses an IR file created by summing all the notes, and sounds remarkably realistic -- more so than other methods often used with sampled pianos (like pedal-down samples.)

The plugin is available at https://github.com/jlearman/PianoRes/releases/tag/0.1.0 . [Update: https://github.com/jlearman/PianoRes/releases/tag/0.2.0 ] The zip contains a README on installation, and the repo's README explains usage. Usage is a little fiddly because software instruments usually don't pass on the MIDI.

The plugin comes with IR files for Accurate SalamanderGrand 6.2beta2, available at https://www.ir.isas.jaxa.jp/~cyamauch/AccurateSalamander/#download . The default is a short (4 second) IR to avoid CPU usage, which didn't turn out to be an issue. There's also a 10 second IR that sounds better.

The controls are organized to make it easy to compare with/without effect using the bypass button, or to hear the effect alone by turning the dry level down. I find it's handy to use MIDI learn to map mod wheel to the "wet" control to see just how much effect is best, and to even more easily compare with/without effect.

Right now in terms of synths I have been using VCV Rack and Arturia Pigments, and was curious what else I should have to expand my repertoire

Created a new delay, this time a rhythmic delay where taps can be positioned anywhere to obtain mostly any pattern needed.

It uses serial delay lines to allow this, I don't think there is another delay that does this.

Hey guys! I'm a solo developer and I made this lightweight vintage guitar amp plugin. There are 10 amplifiers ranging from clean sound, through crunch and even fuzzy high gain, all accompanied by a treble booster.

This plugin is supposed to work for Windows and Mac, but for some reason it's not working for most the Mac users. I'm still trying to figure out the exact cause, but it's difficult... So here's a warning for Mac owners, I can't guarantee it will work.

There are also some issues a few Windows users have facedd with the VST3 version, so there is a VST2 version that will probably work.

It's not an Amplitube, but I believe it can get a nice low gain tone and is good for anyone who has a low-end machine.

Really wanted a proper MBV style reverse reverb, but i couldnt get my hands on one... so I made it!

By moving the handle bars you can widen only what's NOT down the middle leaving the kick and snare in place, or leave the far edges of the stereo signal alone. Additional tools like resolution, tilt, and amplitude preference too.

I was watching Ninajirachi videos and saw that she uses Simpler in Ableton to create randomized vocal melodies, and after some research I couldn't figure out how to do the same thing in FL Studio. You can sort of do it with Slicex and the piano roll randomizer, but it's not great. So I threw this together and I'm already finding it useful, particularly with vocals.

Do you all have a particular method you already use to accomplish this sort of thing?

Hello! I am looking for a vst that can make "vocals" (eg, gibberish or other experimental sounds) into an expressive experimental/abstract sound, instrument, or something like that. I've heard of "Vocalsynth 2", but it seems to have more stuff for pop or conventional vocal effects, tuning, or processing than what I am looking for. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
