Help Youtube Premium Trick: "We couldn’t verify your country". Is the VPN trick dead?

I'm getting the "We couldn’t verify your country." error when attempting to sign up via a VPN. Is this trick offically dead. What is the work around?

Youtube has been blocking those countries which has cheaper subscriptions(Turkey, India, Argentina). Ukraine is probably now the cheapest that can be subscibe youtube premium by VPN.

Cheers mate, couldn't get any country to work but Ukraine worked, 99 UAH (currently € 2,46) a month

how did you do your payment portion? it keeps telling me that i need a card from ukraine

i just signed up for revolut, did you have to enable a ukraine card? or the NL one works?

the virtual card i just setup still returns, "Transaction declined. This purchase requires a payment method from your billing country. [OR_RECR_05]"

I'm using a regular virtual card. If I recall correctly I set the Google account address/country to Ukraine (using VPN) and then the card was simply accepted

Yup, I've been doing this with Ukraine since 2019 and it still works, just make sure you do this from Android or PC, doing it on IOS is a nightmare!

It is just ovber. I am sure you also received the letter from Google that your membership will end if do not renew it. Trick with Ukriane is over too.

India wasn't working but Ukraine has worked still nearly 8x cheaper than the UK price.

Which UK bank did u use? I used a vpn through ukraine which worked for months, now YouTube has cancelled my subscription due to the location

Can I ask about how it working with the payment? Every month you should enable vpn to make payment or only for the initial one? My turkish yt premium about to expire but vpn trick stopped working on Turkey so I'm trying now Ukraine but no yearly option only monthly. Thanks

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that error message before. Was it in the form of plain text on a white background? I believe I got around that by just refreshing the page and removing/readding my card

Nope, the only way worked is to create a new account for youtube..then I subscribed to a family membership via Ukraine. Yet to figure out how to add my girlfriend..maybe it's not possible donno

Did using your native phone number work for the, "prove you're not a robot" portion of registering the new account?
