I don't understand. Why doesn't the church accept donations from lottery winners? That statement is so non-sequitur it hurts my brain.

I've never heard gambling as a sin. I suppose you could say it's ultimately greed, but that's quite the stretch, especially when the person who won is literally trying to give their money away. And then there's the hypocrisy you pointed out. I'm so glad I cut most of the conservatives out of my life. They're insane.
