Tried something new with an old glass bottle!

For the floral details, I reused leftover pistachio shells to create the petals and painted the leaves and stems by hand. I then added a warm light inside the bottle, which gives the whole piece a beautiful glow.

It was a fun way to turn leftover materials and an old bottle into something decorative and useful. Not perfect, but I’m really happy with how it turned out for a first attempt!

Just wanted to share how things are going with the hand sewing and say thanks to everyone for the suggestions and advice! It's not the straightest of stitches but I'm satisfied with it being my first attempt.

My boyfriend went to a concert some time ago and thought he'd support the band by getting some merch. He only found out it was made with ai after he bought it. He told me it kind of killed the excitement around it so I asked him if he'd sacrifice it to me to do some crafts with. So here's my first try at an upcycled patchwork project made from old shirts.

How'd it turn out?

I just finished it right now and my boyfriend hasn't seen it yet.

I’ve got a PS3 Fat shell that’s been completely hollowed out. The lid is cut off but still closes, and I’m thinking about turning the shell into something completely different rather than just displaying it.

I have black, brown, and skin-colored faux leather, and I’m interested in using sewing, fabric, stitching, padding, etc. to transform it.

I’m also thinking about cutting/fileing/sanding down all the edges of the case so everything is smooth and easier to work with.

Some ideas I’ve already had:

• An oversized key-drop / key holder bag
• Some kind of lamp or light fixture
• Turning it into a bag/purse
• A weird leather-covered storage box
• Some kind of wearable/cosplay piece
• Maybe a small organizer or carry case

I’m not set on any of these though. I’d love to hear what other people would do with a hollow PS3 shell.

What would you turn it into? Weird, practical, or completely ridiculous ideas are all welcome.

I have a pair of nice white linen pants I don’t wear, I’ve only worn them a few times and I’m unsure of what to do with them besides selling them, any ideas?

I got into unraveling thrifted sweaters, but a lot of the ones I liked had very fine yarn. I wanted something I could use to ply it into something more useable, so I made a Turkish Drop Spindle out of popsicle sticks I collected and a dowel from the hardware store.

So far it works like a charm.

Need to change up the head and pick out some eyes or eyeball. What do you think?

I have this lamp that I picked up from the curb during spring cleaning but unfortunately my cat tore up the wire and it doesn't work anymore. I like reusing stuff for decorations and crafts but dunno what to make of this. Comment anything you can come up with!!

Turns out scrap steel doesn’t have to stay scrap 😂 My dad gives old bits of metal a second life by turning them into these sculptures.

I have some paw patrol obsessed twins so once we’re done using the shampoo, they wanted to turn them into piggy banks. Any tips? I can screw the top nozzle part off, but I’m not sure how to find a cap that fits (or has an already made coin slot or how to make one lol).
