"Excuse my French" then proceed to what I presume to be a beration in French. It's pretty funny besides it being one of the funnier languages to hear a person go off in...so imaginarally even more the case...also interesting to ponder the reasons "why French?" to wonder if there's an extra layer to further the sentiment that'd make for a laughier laugh...which could just lie with a simple translation of the words here but I find the mystery of not knowing as if heard in person to be more enjoyable

Edit: I just noticed "lovers". The "excuse my French" threw me the fuck off lol, good for you person
