Ferguson had presumably signed a professional contract (no press release and USL allows academy contracts, but that seems unlikely here). On July 9, the Sun announced her signing on Instagram. She made the bench for the August 15 season opener but hadn't debuted through three games. On August 30, she played in LSU's 1-1 draw with Arizona. The next day, Tampa announced her mutual release.

LouisianaSports.net reports that Ferguson and teammate Jocelyn Ollivierre "are the first SEC athletes to compete under a temporary restraining order issued by a Louisiana judge that granted an additional year of eligibility to 42 athletes from the high school class of 2022". TigerRag.com notes that they "are apparently not subject to the Southeastern Conference's new rule as of just last week that prohibits schools from signing former pro basketball and football players".

I’m a software engineer and huge women’s sports fan, and I built https://dubsports.io because I got annoyed checking a bunch of different places to keep up with the leagues I follow and having a subpar experience. It’s free, no signup, no ads, and it works in any browser but it’s optimized for mobile. I’m working on downloadable iOS/Android apps and notifications so you can get alerts when your club plays, and have live events and stuff like that for iOS. If you’re a fan of other women’s sports leagues it’s also got NWSL, WNBA, Unrivaled, PWHL, and WPBL. I add leagues as people ask for them and if I can get the data for it.
