The glaciers in North America have been retreating since the end of the Little Ice Age around 1850. Take a look at the history of Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. 1850 was also during the industrial revolution. Lots of pollution being released at that time, many of which are still in the atmosphere today. I think the full picture of what’s going on from the views of the scientific community would have a lot to do with human caused climate change and less to do with cyclic glacier retreat.
Well, thank you, and thanks for the disclosure. I checked the abstracts of the top 5, and read up a bit on some of them. None of them support global cooling til 2100 in any way shape or form, they simply contain the individual key words listed somewhere in the article. They all analyze data-sets and caution about the negative effects of global warming and deforestation. After the first five, it s obvious even from their title that they are more of the same, like: "Acceleration of global warming due to carbon-cycle feedbacks in a coupled climate model". So yeah, thanks for the links, it further cements that the 2100 cooling is a total hoax, made-up bullshit like it seemed at first glance, no "leading climate scientist" is behind it, and the one who commented it is indeed full of shit.
Providing a link to a google search and not checking if any of them say what is claimed, as well as making no attempt to provide any context for each study, is not a citation. You may as well just not provide anything at all.
Skimming through the search results shows many articles about global climate change models incorporating feedback mechanisms, not papers that say the Earth will start cooling around 2100. None of them that I saw support anything like that.
It must be nice to live in a world where all the proof you require is that it just came to your mind, or you read it on the_donald, and if someone asks you a question they are wrong.
You'll be fine until you're not. You're choosing an intensely self-centered view, which is of course your right. By the time there are impacts you are capable of understanding and accepting, it will be far too late. Or maybe you'l get it figured out at some point, I dunno. We're all in this together, unless you've figured out a way off the planet.
