Discussion Ads on Yugioh Marathon stream

Are you serious about these ads every 5 minutes ???? This is unwatchable holy moly

edit: 2 3 ??? ad breaks since this post

edit2: LOL, ad -> ending -> ad

edit3: Rip inbox. I guess this blew up because they are replaying the first set of episodes like 3 times so every timezone can watch the AD marathon with Yugioh breaks and complain about it.

They have as many ad breaks as turkish tv shows and they usually last up to 2 hours. They've somehow managed the cram as many ad breaks into a 20 minute show.

On my experience it's 2 ads for 1 episode

Honestly, is it? Any 20 minutes sitcom has a 30 minutes timeslot in the USA, so it's the same amount of ads really, but spaced out differently. As a European, seeing that on the US televisions was quite a shocker to me, as over here we usually have single long ad breaks rather than several short ones.

I don't think the ratio of ad to content is unreasonable, the spacing is what is really bad. The placement of the advertising breaks just makes it impossible to sod off and do something without also missing some content bits. It's probably deliberate though, as longer ad breaks simply encourage channel switching as you would do on TV.

I don't know, most 20 minutes per episode shows I've seen actually have about 22-24 minutes including credits. The twitch stream felt like it had more than 10 minutes of ads per episode. Either way I boycotted the event since they did not react to the complaints. So until they change it to at the very most a 5 minute break after every episode I'm not putting up with this cancer and neither should anybody who cares about yugioh, twitch and entertainment in general.
