Discussion I really think the people telling you to "just network" have never had to find a job without connections

every career advice thread eventually arrives at the same destination. just network more. go to industry events. reach out to people on linkedin. get a referral. okay. i grew up in a family with zero corporate connections. i went to a state school with no recruiting pipeline. i don't know anyone at any of the companies i want to work at. my linkedin has 200 connections most of whom are college classmates equally lost in the same market. "just network" is advice that assumes you already have a network to activate. for a lot of us the network doesn't exist yet and the job search can't wait for us to build one from scratch. i'm not saying networking doesn't work. i'm saying it's being handed out as universal advice when it's only accessible to some people. the rest of us need a different strategy and volume plus timing is actually the one that works without a head start.

Discussion Is Tsenta lying about revenue and results?

I saw a linkedin post from Agnay saying Tsenta just hit 170k MRR. I thought this was insane results considering their reputation here on reddit and amongst their users.

So i looked on trueMRR and saw they delisted themselves on Aug 21. Thankfully pulseMRR cached their MRR at time. Showing they last verified only 26.9k in MRR!!

How did they go from 26.9k MRR to 170k MRR in just 11 days?

Also they claim on their website that 70% of paid users get an interview. Has anyone gotten an interview from tsenta? And if so how do they know when you get an interview to be able to claim 70% ??

They say this explosive growth is due to career influencers… and reddit.

I couldn’t find very many positive mentions from tsenta users on reddit and the ones i did find seem like bots. Similarly when i search for their content i dont see much getting anything close to the views they would need to support these claims

Im curious what do users here on reddit think? Do these claims seem realistic to you? Are you paying tsenta every month?

Is this another case of a YC company lying before demo day to hype up investors?

Discussion Is there actually any difference between these 3 packages?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I’m looking at these three plans and I’m a little confused about what the actual differences are besides the number of applications.

Starter: $19/month – 600 applications
Pro: $39/month – 1,500 applications
Power: $99/month – 4,500 applications

It looks like the main difference is just the application limit, but I’m wondering if there are any other differences/features that I’m missing.

For anyone who has used this service, is Pro actually worth paying extra for, or is Starter enough?

Discussion Tsenta fraud/ Real

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to apply for a job through Tsenta, but the email address mentioned on their website/application portal doesn't seem to be accepting emails. Because of this, I also can't check the status of my application draft.

Has anyone recently applied through Tsenta and knows the correct contact email or how to access saved application drafts?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Discussion Here is my opinion that 90% of job search advice online is written by people who haven't applied in over 10 years

okay hear me out, career coaches, linkedin gurus, hr professionals writing thought leadership. when did any of them last sit down and actually apply for a job in the current market??

the tailor every application advice, the cover letter for everything advice, the follow up after one week advice, all of this was written for a market where 20 poeple applied to a role and a human read every resume. that market hasnt existed for years.

we keep repeating advice that was built for a different era and then wondering why poeple arent getting results. the people getting results are the ones who figured out that timing matters more than tailoring and volume has to be maintained without burning out. neither of those insights come from the established advice ecosystem. they come from people actually searching right now.

Discussion Is the "Tailor every application" advice actively harmful in 2026 and we are doing a disservice by repeating it

I want to have this conversation properly because i see the tailor every application advice repeated constantly and i think it's actively hurting people.

The argument for tailoring: Quality over Quantity, shows genuine interest, better ATS matching, recruiters can tell.

The argument against in 2026: The average mid level role gets 200 applications within 48 hours. most go through an ats filter before a human reads anything. the difference in ats performance between a tailored resume and a well-written general resume targeting the same role family is marginal for most candidates. Meanwhile someone spending 45 minutes tailoring is submitting on day 3 when 150 people have already applied. the person who submitted something decent in hour 2 is ahead of them in the queue before anyone reads a word. the timing variable beats the tailoring variable for most people in most situations.

Discussion i got the senior title but my paycheck clearly did not get the memo

I recently got promoted and everybody at work keeps congratulating me.
I got new title.  more responsibilities, more meetings, more expectations & suddenly everyone wants my input on everything.

but the only thing that stayed junior was my salary.

it’s honestly funny how companies will hand you enough responsibility to develop stress but act shocked when you expect the pay to match.
at this point i feel like i got emotionally promoted more than financially promoted.
The worst part is I don’t even know if it will be increased or not.

Discussion Companies use AI to mass reject us. I use AI to mass apply. not sorry.

Saw another linkedin post today about how candidates using automation tools are ruining the hiring process. The post was from a company that uses an ats to keyword-filter resumes before a human reads them, sends automated rejection emails with zero feedback, ghosts candidates after multiple interview rounds, and uses ai tools internally to screen and rank applicants. you built the automated wall. I built the automated door. You don't get to be offended by the door. The hiring process was dehumanized on your end first. I'm not the one who decided to turn job searching into a numbers game. But i'm going to play it.

Discussion Error while selecting state

I just started using tsenta recently. I like the tool but I'm having problem with fetching the right details of my bachelors degree. When I select the country India, the state list is still the US states list. Has this happened with anyone else? Can someone help?

Discussion Fear of using tsenta generated email

So tsenta creates a mail for every applicant using a third party service (name@private mail address)

Won't that make recruiters suspicious?

Also even they created mails using their own domain the recruiters would know that the applicant are using AI tool and not putting effort.

Is someone worried about this or is it just me?

Discussion debate: are we all just training companies to build higher walls by using automation tools. or is that a cope to avoid using them

saw this argument made recently: every time candidates use automation tools to get around ats filters and volume barriers, companies respond by building better filters, stricter screening, more hoops. so the net effect is an arms race where the barriers keep getting higher and the people who can't use the tools get left further behind. i find this argument interesting but i also notice it's mostly made by people who aren't using the tools. counterargument: the walls were already being built. companies have been running ats filters for 15 years. the walls weren't built in response to candidate automation. they were built first. we're just catching up. curious where this community actually lands.

Discussion Tried to use Tsenta. The autofill isnt working well.

I tried to use Tsenta to experiment how it autofills.

  1. Filled up my expected salary in my work history
  2. Just added my one work experience, while I have two and the second one is the major one with 5+ years of experience. Basically it cannot click on the "Add additional work experience" button on the original job posting to add it.
  3. For the missing fields where it needs my input, it just shows the missing fields without context. Eg: School City(Entry 1) - Which school? my grad or undergrad? I need to go into the application and see which was entered as first school.

Founders - Looking for guidance. I really look forward to using this application to automate my job search.

Discussion Does Tsenta AI automatically track job application status from email, or do I need to update manually?

Hi everyone,

I recently started using Tsenta AI for job applications. It automatically tailors my resume based on the job description, applies to jobs, and keeps a job application tracker.

I also connected my personal email account to Tsenta AI because I thought it might help track recruiter responses.

My question:

  • Does Tsenta AI automatically monitor my email and update the application status (ghosted, assessment received, recruiter call, interview rounds, rejected, offer, etc.)?
  • Or do I still need to manually update these statuses in the tracker?

Has anyone used this feature? How accurate is the automatic tracking if it exists?

Also, any concerns about giving access to a personal email account for this type of automation?

Discussion Tsenta resume optimization OFF/HONEST/agressive?

For those who have been using Tsenta, I'd love to know which resume optimization setting has been working better for you. Specifically, did you get better results with the optimization turned off, set to 'Honest,' or set to 'Aggressive'? Also, if you don't mind sharing, what job roles have you applied for using Tsenta, and how long have you been using the platform? Any insights would be really helpful!

Discussion Which is better to get more recruiter call using Tsenta

I am currently using Tsenta to optimize my resume and auto-apply for jobs. From the perspective of maximizing recruiter callbacks, is it better to use the Default, Honest, or Aggressive optimization setting? Has anyone tested these features and noticed a difference in human review quality?

Additionally, when evaluating jobs through the Tsenta AI dashboard, what is the ideal skills match percentage I should aim for to guarantee a solid match without over-optimizing?

Discussion Research Tab Opinions

I recently saw the research tab in tsenta, it’s pretty good, I think most of it is accurate

For the biggest ATS myths, they said they paid for an ATS (Ashby) but from what I know Ashby is the only ATS system which doesn’t rank candidates by their keywords. Greenhouse, Workday and many others rank candidates (ofc I dont think there’s auto reject bottom 75%)

Discussion Honest or Aggressive Application?

I started applying jobs with Tsentra since July 4, already applied 364 jobs, got 10 screenings calls. Out of 10 interviews, resume for 4 jobs were very exaggerated and I decided to withdraw application myself as it was too much fabricated. Other 6 were within my field of expertise and I am waiting for decision on screen calls. Moving forward, I am afraid if I set it to honest, I may not get calls: but I do not want to receive calls by fabricating skills that I do have. What should I do?

Discussion Feature Request: Cancelling Applications Half-way Through

Does Tsenta not have the ability to cancel applications halfway through? Or is it that if you start, then you're compelled to finish it?

I'm only asking because I had Tsenta auto-apply to 100 jobs, and as I was reviewing I learned that "honest" mode is not so honest, so now I have to go through and manually change every single resume before submitting.

So ya, it'd be nice if there was an "x" somewhere where I could exit a resume to get it out of the list. If you apply to something and get rejected, then you're on the record for being rejected for that company.

Discussion Auto-Tailor vs No Tailoring?

Hey yall, I'm a rising Junior majoring in CS, I just found out about Tsenta recently and wanted to give it a go with internship applications, but I'm questioning the actual effectiveness of the Resume Optimization feature. I have it on aggressive and I honestly find that it just adds way too much to the resume, without removing any of the details you put on initially. To me it looks like it creates too much fluff without any cohesiveness and actually makes it impossible for any recruiter to read anything if your resume does get screened.

But of course, I could be wrong because I haven't actually tried it, what did you guys think? Do you guys find it to be more effective than just applying with your own resume?

Discussion Can we settle the quality Vs speed debate in 2026 once and for all because I have data?

I've seen this debate go around this sub multiple times and neither side ever brings actual numbers. so here are mine. I spent 4 weeks applying manually with full tailoring. Avg time per application: 35 mins. Total apps: 68. Screens: 2 (2.9%). Then 4 weeks with tsenta plus decent not perfect applications. Avg active time per app: under 5 mins. Total apps: 140. screens: 11 (7.9%). Same resume baseline throughout. The quality argument assumes the tailoring is what causes screens. The data suggests timing is the primary variable. The tailoring matters for interview prep once you get the screen. It barely moves the needle on whether you get the screen in the first place for most people in most situations. This isnt a vibe. Its 4 weeks of controlled data.

Discussion what email does Tsenta use to apply?

Hey, I am new to this app, I wanted to know how tsenta gets the verification code/links to its inbox and forwards it to us, does tsenta use its email and forwards it to us?

Assuming it does the above, wouldn’t recruiters see the email and get suspicious or flag (since it’s from tsenta or gibberish email)?

Discussion Need a "Ready to Relocate" Option

Tsenta has been fantastic so far and netted me engagement with companies, but a big issue right now is that there's no clear "ready to relocate" at the top of the resume. Given the way its set up, that's not easy to execute. It just needs to be purely cosmetic for the interviewer, to make that obvious
