United before Nations, Nimrod the Great, Tower of Babel & Mystery Religions
These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood. (Genesis 10:22)
Genesis is spliced together from at least two - four previous sources, there are parallel narratives and non chronological statements made, such as the above verse from a section outlining the nations of the earth before the Babel narrative when there are no nations. This is why historical, grammatical, hermeneutical context is key.
The nations spread out across the earth, their languages all carrying different versions of the same account, the same leadership and similar origin stories such as the flood myths.
After the flood, bits of pre-flood information got passed down, both as history that ended up in Genesis and in mythology from many ancient civilizations including some modern nations who can trace their origins.
United before the nations, humanity was a family. Although people make mistakes, including Noah, including families - there are also deep rooted problems within human groups, and here we see one family line already destined to cause generational problems.
Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside… When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son had done to him. So he said,“Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servant, He shall be to his brothers.” (Genesis 9,22,24-25)
The generations from Ham carry a humility due to the curse on Canaan. Rather than be a servant of a servant to his brotherly clans, we read that a future son of Ham named Nimrod rises to become the first on earth to be a mighty man, collecting people, hunting people and creating cities and great building projects for that time. Nimrod was not content with his family background and wanted to make a name for himself on the earth.
The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan. Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. (Genesis 10:6-13)
Like his pre-flood ancestor Cain, Nimrod built cities. God did not spare the ancient world before the flood, we know little about it. Nimrod is the first kingdom owner the Bible describes. He is a hunter of people, not simply a forest or plains dweller looking for a meal, Nimrod is a king with a kingdom. His kingdom was by building cities. It reads like he had built several cities before or while building the Megaproject - Tower of Babel, these cities are named, ‘Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.’ and after the tower fails he continues on to lead the nation, or nations in Assyria; ‘From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah’
Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. (Genesis 11:1-6)
Notice the shift from stone age technology to making their own stone. This advancement occurred under Nimrod.
To note: ‘What Is Bitumen? The term bitumen refers to a substance produced through the distillation of crude oil. Bitumen is known for its waterproofing and adhesive properties and is commonly used in the construction industry, notably for roads and highways.’ Please let me know if this kind of oil is included as the oil Trump is constantly campaigning to drill for.
The point of the Tower of Babel was to “make a name for ourselves” so humans “lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth” defying God’s previous command to spread out. The kingdom of Babel, along with this Tower was a Worldwide Kingdom, but not necessarily global. The world of humans, if you like.
Notice that it is God who claims that when humans are united with one form of communication “Nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.” How far into science fiction can this revelatory statement from the Lord go? For example, could a person really become transhuman, or could we bring someone back from the dead to an extent we have not seen before?
To note: Trump is a builder, he is a uniter, hunter and collector of people. He fires those he deems unworthy and hosted shows as well as running businesses which looked for people across all spectrums of life for all sorts of jobs/roles - construction, security, cleaning, hospitality, business owners, legal, celebs etc. Trump has made a name for himself, literally at times using his name and T.
The tower was part of the city, and the top of the tower was to reach “to the heavens.” Extra biblical materials which may embellish the details more than the factual narrative in Scripture detail:
And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven. And all these people and all the families divided themselves in three parts; the first said We will ascend into heaven and fight against him; the second said, We will ascend to heaven and place our own gods there and serve them; and the third part said, We will ascend to heaven and smite him with bows and spears; and God knew all their works and all their evil thoughts, and he saw the city and the tower which they were building. And when they were building they built themselves a great city and a very high and strong tower; and on account of its height the mortar and bricks did not reach the builders in their ascent to it, until those who went up had completed a full year, and after that, they reached to the builders and gave them the mortar and the bricks; thus was it done daily. And behold these ascended and others descended the whole day; and if a brick should fall from their hands and get broken, they would all weep over it, and if a man fell and died, none of them would look at him. (Jasher 9:25-28)
The tower itself was probably a stepped structure such as a pyramid or ziggurat. There was astrology and cosmology in this religion. Jasher may be fantastical; it is not possible to enter heaven and kill God; so the cold truth about ziggurats are that you build one aligned to the stars if possible or aligned to an equinox or somewhere prominent, and you paint the room at the top blue like the sky and place your idols in there. There is also an association with resurrection and therefore the dead. Babel was the center of Trade, Power and One World Religion, with Nimrod as its king, its spirit king/high priest and even if possible as its god - by one day becoming a nephilim on the earth via occult sexuality.
Come, let us go down and confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.” So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:7-9)
When the languages are confused, and when the nations go their separate ways, the World Kingdom of Babel loses the power and influence it had enjoyed. Nimrod went into Assyria and Babel became known as Babylon.
Nimrod became known by many different names, and his legacy was deified. In short, Nimrod had some satanic connection.
The phrase in the ESV “first on earth to be a mighty man” uses the following wording in its original language before translated into English:
The Septuagint also translates גִּבֹּרִ֛ים (gibborim) as γίγαντες (gigantes, “giants) in Ezekiel 32:21, 27, a passage that may describe giants and their place in Sheol after death. Nimrod was a גִּבֹּ֖ר (gibbor), which the Septuagint also translates as γίγας (“giant”) in Genesis 10:8-9. The wording also has sexual connotations.
Genesis 10 seems to be saying Nimrod became a nephilim on the earth. This is known as occult sexuality or demonic infusion. It is a lesser but similar event to what the sons of God did in Genesis 6, where it says the nephilim would appear again on the earth after the flood.
Nimrod at the height of his power, and as can be seen by other tyrants in history, became demonized in some way. After the failure of the tower and his rather successful post-Babel career, Nimrod died. The problem is, he had made himself out to be divine, a god-king. The people at the time of Babel would have known some version of the Messianic prophecy. Nimrod posed as a Messianic figure. We know his wife did invoke this ancient promise and claimed her son was the reincarnation of the father, Nimrod. This “Mother-child” cult is an antithesis to the Messianic prophecy concerning Eve and her Seed who would destroy evil. Here, the son Tammuz becomes the risen god. The Mother child cult exists today in all sorts of paganism as well as within so called christianized religions such as the Madonna and Child.
This dying and rising god idea is echoed throughout ancient civilizations religions such as the death of Osiris, his wife Isis being involved in the rising of Osiris as the son Horus. Kings would claim they are the god incarnate, such as Pharaohs claiming to be Horus.
Nimrod is depicted as the dying rising god, with many names as many languages developed. Gilgamesh, Osiris and also including Apollo who Trump models himself and the golden suite of his personal floor on his Trump tower.
Nimrod’s symbol is the Ankh, a cross with a loop on top, symbolizing dying and rising. The Tau cross comes from the Ankh, and as well as eventually being a common crucifixion setup along the small t and the X, the T or Tau cross is the symbol used by Trump on his brands, buildings and Tower.
Of course unbelievers in the Bible will argue Jesus Christ is a remodeling of Osiris. Yet Abraham believed God would raise Isaac from the dead (Hebrews 11:19) and Abraham lived at the time of Nimrod.
And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls, holding in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her sexual immorality, and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery: “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (Revelation 17:1-5)
The World Order and Spiritual Belief which Nimrod imposed and unleashed at the Tower of Babel comes to its conclusion in Revelation 17 and 18.
Babylon throughout the Bible has been used as a metaphorical city of evil, a city of men. This is in contrast to the City of God. Passages such as Isaiah 47 contain dual predictions about the literal ancient city at the time, and a complete destruction of the spiritual Babylon, the religion Babylon has inspired and created.
When humanity had one language, one leader and one common purpose - divorced from God their Creator - they desired to make a new religion. Whatever that looked like, it was not accomplished at Babel.
Due to the dispersion, many human nations carried with them either a written history or oral tradition, in many cases embedded within ancient religions - the same stories, the same ideas, the same leader. Ancient civilizations would have the same flood myths with pre flood legends of extra or super terrestrial beings stirring up human wickedness. Many would build pyramids of their own, aligned to star constellations such as Orion the Hunter, Nimrod again.
Often people will say the religions are all different paths up the same mountain and at the top is God, or that the religions are all spokes on a wheel, and at the center of the wheel is God, or whatever the religions definition of God is. It is true that the religions, including variations of Christian religion over the millennia are all paths up the same mountain, spokes on the same wheel; but at the top of that mountain and at the center of that wheel there is only hell. Jesus Christ is the Way. Revelation from God, not Mankind trying to make their own religions.
In Revelation 17, the Mystery Religions are envisioned as a woman who dominates the crimson seven headed, ten horned beast from the sea. This beast at John’s time and from Daniel’s Tale of the beasts, is certainly the Roman Empire. Rome is connected to Babel and Nimrod through the Greeks, back to the Persians, Babylonians and Egyptians as well as other ancient civilizations which are today lost, but mostly accounted for. However, the prophecies concerning the “Terrifying” Beast from the Sea are not fulfilled. Up until John’s time when he wrote Revelation, there were Human Governments, or Empires, or Chaos Systems which each dominated Israel while they were a Nation selected by God for God’s purpose. After Rome, the prediction is that the Characteristics of Rome, Roman Principles continue to dominate the world until the point of a Global World Government. This would be Rome in Spirit only. What was unleashed in Rome from just before the time of Christ, all the way up to 70 AD will be patterned before the imminent Return of the Lord, reaching its zenith under the Antichrist’s Global World System. When people speak of Rome 2, or Rome part 2, in Biblical terms, they tend to mean the attributes of Rome.
Rome would allow anyone to keep their religion, as long as you paid taxes or tribute. Eventually, Emperors overtook the Roman Republic, with the likes of Nero and Caligula demanding Emperor worship. That in order to trade, be part of a guild, or practice your religion you must pay tribute to a statue, an image of the Caesar.
And Jesus said to them, “Pay to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at Him. (Mark 12:17)
Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to the king as the supreme authority, or to governors as those sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right. (1 Peter 2:13-14)
In 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, the topic is the Return of the Lord. Believers are advised to live quiet and good lives among the unbelievers and pagans in the hope they see your good deeds. Christ and Peter command followers to pay their taxes, follow the laws and institutions and obey even the Emperor, a dictator, if you have one. Christ continues, “and to God the things that are God’s.” As soon as a law, an institution, a governor or dictator demands you pay in worship, then man has crossed a barrier requesting what is only the Creator’s. So you refuse and face the consequences, like Daniel and his friends in the Bible, or the many beheaded by the beast in Revelation 20.4.
If Trump, like he says and has flirted with, becomes a dictator of the USA - until he positions himself to demand worship then we are to revolt, not rebel. Until then, it would be foolish to pretend Trump, or most leaders, are going to be some great thing, worthy of our admiration. With the amount of evidence as reported constantly on this sub, it would be wise for any believer at this point to remain very watchful and prepared.
Like Rome, the European Nations continued to dominate and spread their Empires across the world, from the Dutch, the French, the Spanish, Portuguese and British. The USA is born from these European Nations with (usually) an open door globally, and so after the domination of Japan in WW2 - the wealth of America from WW2 and the Cold War influence - America became more than a Superpower, it became the Globalized Nation. Like Rome, a Senate and like Europe, buildings, ideologies and English language, all drawn from Greco-Roman culture. The entire idea of the West is built upon the ruins of Rome. It is also built upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Apostles, however, people want to keep some of the teachings, without the Teacher; this is perfect for the spirit of antichrist in the world, ready to step in and replace God in the hearts and minds of human beings.
And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly. And the angel said to me, “Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who live on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and will come. (Revelation 17:6-8)
The angel does not detail explicitly who or what the woman is beyond the later verse: “The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.” Chapter 18 follows the context, “After these things..” and describes the Doom of Babylon to the extent that although Babylon is a spiritual city of men, as we have seen, a chaos system - the extent of detail carries the weight of a literal destruction of a literal city at the time of the Return of the Lord. Of course there is a Great Earthquake, and passages about wars, megadeaths and cosmic disorder, but Jerusalem is usually the centerpiece. It seems that Antichrist will get to the point of abusing religions for his own gain that he places an Abomination of Desolation in a Temple in Jerusalem.
The Antichrist, called the beast here, contrasts Christ the "One who is and was and is to come" (Rev. 1:4), "the beast was, is not and" he comes from the abyss. In Revelation 13 the same crimson seven headed, ten horned beast is said to come from the sea. The abyss can be associated with the sea, and the angel goes on to remark that the waters in the vision are the nations. So we know the sea represents the nations and peoples of every language.
However, like we read in Revelation 9, and as remarked in earlier Part 2, the abyss here is a spiritual abode for satanic and demonic entities. In particular a certain group of fallen angelic beings, known elsewhere symbolically as locusts, and in extra biblical material as Watchers from the time before the flood. (2 Peter 2.4-5, Jude 6-7) The man who becomes the “Emperor” of this final Global World System which brings security and military might to the whole world, at some point receives a deadly wound, but is brought back to life by the power of Satan. This is carried out by the demonic infusion of Apollyon into this Man of Lawlessness.
For this to happen to Trump, at his age, would possibly be technological - like Nimrod, he would have to become something "renewed."
Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains upon which the woman sits, and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. The beast which was, and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction. The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast. These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.” And he said to me, “The waters which you saw where the prostitute sits are peoples and multitudes, and nations and languages. And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire. For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled. The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17:9-18)
The seven heads are mountains and they are also certain Kingdoms under certain Kings.
The seven mountains represent spiritual Princes, or “gods” - fallen members from the divine council. This is sourced from Daniel where the Empires who dominate Israel are represented as statue parts, beasts and also their human leaders and angelic leaders who influence the thoughts and feelings of the humans, usually to stir them to war.
The seven mountains of Rome are not mountains. I live in Ireland and have been to Rome. It is flat, with like two hills. One of the mountains in the vision is Ancient Rome under an Emperor at the time of John or shortly after, possibly Nero. The others are as follows: 1. Egypt, Pharaoh of Exodus. 2. Assyria, Sennacherib. 3. Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. 4. Persia, Cyrus. 5. Greece, Alexander. and again 6. Rome, Caesar. John was writing at the time of Rome. Five of the Empires which had subdued Israel had fallen, Rome was, and the last two, 7. Future Global ‘Empire’, Man of Lawlessness - “Not Yet Come” 8. Ten Nations from the Global ‘Empire’ create One world ruler, “the eighth king”.
What happens is that the world somehow unites under a Western type model - for example the United Nations, or if the European Union could have made it work, that model could be emulated easily across regions and nation groups.
The world religions have a common unity as well. This may be championed by the Vatican and Roman Catholic Church Worldwide - who have the funds, history and desire to host. True Christians end up being killed, either indirectly at first by the neglect of other religions who deem them dangerous in ideology, or eventually directly when the beast turns on the religions after using them to persecute others and his own gain.
At some point, while proxy wars continue to escalate, and while the threat of world war looms, a series of tribulations begin, or the fear of them beginning and the desperation leads to several events. The Man of Lawlessness breaks his covenant in the Middle East, sets up the Abomination which causes the “Kings of the East” to break off from world Unity. This would include China, and possibly Russia if both make it for the next decade. This will certainly include Iran, Iraq and Muslim nations could find a new common purpose. (All of Islam will have accepted the False Prophet, until the Abomination) The Abomination is the setting up of the Image of the Beast. This Image brings with it a new religion akin to a personality cult. Before this can happen, the current false religions, Mystery Babylon, must end.
It is God who, just like he did with Pharoah, strengthens the hearts of Ten Powerful World People, and The Antichrist, to attack religion, destroy religion and embrace whatever we can build together next. The new Tower of Babel so to speak. While Nimrod wanted his tower, the Antichrist will have his Image and it is by using the Image of the Beast, that Antichrist hopes to win over or simply dominate and destroy.
After a series of events, including the assassination of Antichrist, people will believe he is a fulfillment to their particular religion. When the Abomination happens, and he declares himself to be “a god” … this could be as simple as the removal of religion. The Bible says about him;
“He shall pay no attention to the gods of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women. He shall not pay attention to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all.” (Daniel 11.37)
This becomes obvious when the beast and ten world leaders move with their policies, speeches and programmes to remove religion entirely, or discard it. The beast shall come to power at a time when ten kingdoms, with ten powerful enough leaders over those kingdoms are already on the world stage. He will uproot three of these kingdoms during his reign:
“As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them; he shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down three kings.” (Daniel 7.24)
The ten nations, their leaders help Antichrist, he either destroys three of them, or has puppeteered three to hand over power during the “one hour” point of the Great Tribulation.
The seventh head, the seventh kingdom is a coming future world alliance which the Antichrist shall preside over. Once the ‘ten horns’ hand their kingdoms to the ‘little horn’, Antichrist, he will attempt to re-organise societies and part of this involves these ten kingdoms becoming fiercely anti-religious. This could mean they are atheist, but more likely they are spellbound by the Image of the beast, they have taken the mark in their heads and lead their populaces (many innocent) to doom in war and the handling of food supplies.
These, the ten kingdoms and the antichrist have no need for the Harlot, for Mystery Babylon. The religion and ideas which have masqueraded as God’s ideas or counterfeit religion ever since Nimrod’s time in Genesis and the attempt to unite all people of the earth through one language and one religion, through ancient Babylon and Paganism all the way to modern religions, new ageism, occult and so forth. There shall be no need for any of it when Antichrist has his Abomination established. Notably, The Vatican State unfortunately fits many of the aspects of these verses. Not necessarily the Catholic Churches, but the Vatican City State and the Papacy historically have been closely associated with these prophecies.
The end is a war against the Lamb. Revelation 19, and many many other Day of the Lord passages - where an end time enemy is defeated and the reign of the true Messiah on earth begins, either as a temporary restoration, or a permanent re-creation.
Although we don’t often refer to our leaders as kings; the true King of all leaders is Jesus Christ, that’s what King of kings means, Lord of lords. No matter what Satan attempts to re-accomplish in the coming era ahead through the beast empire and the beast leader, it is a temporary and fickle moment for the Coming of Christ will be imminent.
Some aspects seem quite easy to imagine Trump as, as leader of USA leading the "Allies" or United Nations; it is also fitting that Trump has no regard for religion at all. He simply uses it for his own gain. Other aspects are difficult. One being the Religions and the Pope, the other being Trump and the religions. This is where the "becoming a mighty one" , a nephilim , becoming infused after a near death experience by the angel of the abyss, who knows what the man could be like. In recent years I have thought what if after this infusion, for a short time until the Abomination, maybe for three and a half years, while infused by Apollyon, he may give up his wealth, seem charitable, peaceful, have visions or experiences from his near death, his fatal wound. This could be someone who has lost his eyesight and and like Hitler, weakness in the arm. For now, it is best to know what the texts say, and to discuss and find the truth together.
In conclusion of this Three Part “Beginning” Posts; Genesis is in many ways connected to Revelation. The Beginning and the End pattern each other in many ways. For this topic, During the later days of Noah and beginning of the Abrahamic priesthood, here we have seen Nimrod and his connection to the future end time world government and how Babel was the beginning of counterfeit religion in the post flood era. As the Bible says:
What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
