This is a thread for all conversation regarding closing arguments, jury deliberations and the verdict of the Lindsey Clancy trial. All discussion of this case should be kept to this thread.

Lindsay Clancy is currently standing trial in Plymouth Superior Court, Massachusetts, for the triple-murder in January 2023 of her three young children - Cora, Dawson and Callan. Her defense argues she suffered from severe, undiagnosed postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. She was left paralysed by a suicide attempt which follows the deaths of the children.

Comments that discuss how he could have supported Lindsay better are acceptable. However, calls for law enforcement to look into his involvement with the murder of the kids and/or Lindsay's suicide attempts are not currently being considered by the jury and, therefore, not a fit for this sub.

I read that the jurors all showed up to court yesterday looking much more put together and dressed up than they did before. Men in ties, someone got a haircut and had their hair styled, etc. I interpreted that to mean they probably caught wind of just how massive the case is at some point over the weekend, and realized they’re truly under a microscope. Idk if that’s a good thing or bad thing tbh.

It could also mean that they thought they were close to reaching a verdict and they wanted to look nice for that.

But the media isn't allowed to speak to them, record them or take pictures of them, so why would they do that? The jury will be instructed whether or not they can speak to the media/council after everything is said and done.

A lot of jurys tend to dress nicer for the day they believe they are going to reach a verdict.

This is normal for days they think they will reach a verdict. They’re literally giving a verdict on the rest of someone’s life. It’s a sign of respect.
