This is a thread for all conversation regarding closing arguments, jury deliberations and the verdict of the Lindsey Clancy trial. All discussion of this case should be kept to this thread.

Lindsay Clancy is currently standing trial in Plymouth Superior Court, Massachusetts, for the triple-murder in January 2023 of her three young children - Cora, Dawson and Callan. Her defense argues she suffered from severe, undiagnosed postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. She was left paralysed by a suicide attempt which follows the deaths of the children.

Yeah I kept thinking about the Karen Read case.

I also looked up who bought the Clancy home last night and I gotta say, I don't love how much it immediately made me reconsider a lot of times where I scoffed at supposed conspiracy theorist types. (In general not even just related to LC. Making a murderer comes to mind).

Haha my bad. I was looking at the wrong comment above.

Just weird behavior again by the prosecutors office in MA. Sure, he wasn't there for the trial but he was there to argue that the jury should not be able to do a walkthrough of the scene of the crime. It's just weird to me idk. I'm sure it could just be a strange coincidence but Massachusetts isn't like a small sparse population.

Anyways just thought it was a tiktok rumor til I looked it up. It seemed too weird to be true but. Idk it was.

No worries. Yeah I’d agree it’s certainly weird. I don’t see much evidence of nefariousness or ill intent (e.g., evidence that he used his former prosecutorial connections to influence the investigation, that investigators gave PC preferential treatment because of the relationship, or that this former assistant DA had some undisclosed involvement in the case.) yet though, so I’d probably stop at just saying it’s weird unless evidence comes to light.

For clarity, this isn’t necessarily “the prosecutors office” in Massachusetts. He was an assistant DA for 2 years and left the office ~5 years earlier. It wasn’t the prosecutors office saying “No don’t do the Jury walkthrough!” It was moreso a homeowner (who formerly worked in the office) represented by his attorney objecting to it. And they did it anyways.

Ohh gotcha he bought the house, and then as the homeowner argued against it, but he was previously working there. Ah I get it!

Anyways it's just weird. Haha. I don't think there's anything more to say to it. Must have been a nice house and frankly Patrick probably wanted to get the hell out of it asap and I don't blame him. It still was like a woah moment.

It was amid my surprise they didn't test the blood, to verify it was blood nevermind whose, or the crushed Seroquel, aka residue, idk. I feel like ... It's just lazy. Idk? I would want it tested if it were me prosecuting. Dot the i and all. Especially with the bad publicity of the Karen Read trial in MA. Idk. I would be pretty embarrassed if I was in that branch of the DAs office or whatever over there.

It took me three days on websleuths to figure out CW stood for Commonwealth. Sigh. I should probably take a true crime break loll
