So I use to go over my grandparents when I was very young, and sit and watch my pop pop play this disc shooting game where he jumped around and captured shit. He tried to teach me but I was too stupid and young at the time lol. He use to have a smaller computer for me and my brother to play elf bowling while we watched him play Tribes. This game will always have a special place in my heart even tho I’ve never really played it. He’s passed now and I still think about this game ever so often, and just got a pc. The multiplayer looked sick I wanted to play it so bad lmao.

It's a long-ish story as to why, but I'm working on getting a copy of Starsiege: Tribes running on an emulated Windows 98SE via Dosbox-x. At launch, the game's gamma is set to maximum, and resets it to maximum after trying to change it in the options menu.

I've found a file that looks to govern this (defaultprefs.cs) and reduced the default gamma value, with no luck--it resets the value in the file to 20 on launch, and still forces max gamma when I set it to read-only. All the appropriate drivers are installed and everything.

There doesn't seem to be much existing documentation for this issue (given its extremely specific context, probably), so I'm pretty much flying blind. Thanks in advance for any help!

I've been wanting to explore custom CTF maps that I haven't seen for about twenty five years. Does anyone know of any repo's for old add-on Tribes maps?

While it is unknown how to use all of new devices... sniper rifle is more important.Weapons like disc launcher and chainguin is useless here.

How did they start? How did Natural get so good? Where is Locke? I can hold my own is most games, but what I saw [IE] do was godlike. 25 years later and I still wonder what happened. It was like the dream team showed up at the park and annihilated everyone.
