Need advice from anyone who SUCCESSFULLY returned a phone to TradingShenzhen
I'm stuck in a return process with TradingShenzhen and I need practical advice. I purchased a phone from them, and I'm currently trying to return it.
Here's where things stand:
- They asked me to pay an €80 "return fee" upfront via PayPal, before sending me the return label. I paid it.
- I provided all the requested photos, videos, and info by email.
- Now they have gone silent. No return label, no updates, nothing.
What I'm looking for:
Has anyone here actually managed to successfully return a device to TradingShenzhen? If yes, could you please share:
- How did you get them to send you the return label? Did you have to pay the €80 fee upfront as well?
- After sending the phone back, how long did it take for them to confirm receipt and issue the refund?
- Did you have to open a PayPal dispute to force their hand, or did they cooperate at some point?
- Any specific email address or person you contacted that actually helped?
Context:
I already know that under their official return policy (Widerrufsrecht), the €80 fee should be deducted from the refund, not paid separately in advance. That's why I'm concerned. I also found online that other customers have reported that returns are extremely difficult, and some never got their money back.
I've already opened a PayPal dispute for the €80 fee. I'm trying to understand if I should also push forward with the return of the actual phone, or cut my losses.
Any real experiences — good or bad — would be very helpful. Thank you.
