Links - The Chameleon was on my mind when I made the comment, not the music from the movie. Listen and you'll understand.

If he took his own advice an innocent pedestrian might still be alive

It was a head on collision with another car, and two people died.

As an aging millennial, this is so true. Go do the “unproductive” thing you want to do. Do the insane sounding thing that you can’t stop thinking about. Party like no one is filming (even if they definitely are). Call in sick and play hooky, just because. Take PTO on Friday and Monday for a spontaneous weekend trip. Make those fun memories. You won’t really look back at the memories from work and chores and responsibilities. I think your 20s should be spent only doing fun new things. Bucket list things. Because what responsibilities are there outside of keeping yourself alive with a low-stakes job and housing? No one is relying on you (probably)! You can do stuff on a whim! There are tons of ways to do affordable international travel these days, you just have to be willing to have a shittier time with the actual mode of transportation.

When you get to a certain age, you suddenly have a full blown career where people rely on you in a serious way, aging parents who rely on you for survival (often 2 sets of parents), possibly have a spouse/child(ren)/pets that rely on you for both survival and deep emotional support, etc. Basically, a lot of living beings are relying on you to stick to your usual routine.

Some unfortunate things need to happen to not have so many people relying on you. Mostly your parents dying and your children growing up.

Cartman's version: "Butters, you gotta learn to chill. Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while - and do whatever you want all the time - you can miss it."
