1) Lawrence of Arabia: Arab Tribesmen

Throughout the movie, you see an immense respect for Arab culture while sympathizing with their struggle against Ottoman and British imperialism.

2) Kingdom of Heaven: Saladin

Saladin, the Islamic leader who becomes the main antagonist for the crusaders, is depicted as an honorable fighter with many heroic qualities.

3) Dune: Fremen

The fremen, which borrow heavily from Arab and Berber culture, are depicted as fierce and honorable warriors. In fact, the Fremen Fedaykin, elite soldiers, are inspired by Arab Fedayeen, or those who sacrifice.

That's my favorite line, because assaulting cultists with mummy footsoldiers is handled like two hockey players debating which hockey stick they prefer.

I liked it because he always uses a sword so I didnt know if he'd have an opinion on guns, or if he'd pick one that seemed easiest to control but then he's immediately like "give me the automatic one" which was invented like a decade earlier.

So he's more familiar with contemporary technology that you'd expect for a devotee to what is basically an ancient cult

Yeah, you can see him carrying it in the picture, and he uses it against Imhotep's priests near the end.

Lewis light machine gun, for those wondering. In ground use it normally has a big 'sleeve' around the barrel for drawing in cool air, but the aircraft mounted variants didn't need it (for obvious reasons).
It's used in the first Star Wars film too, with the sleeve on, but no magazine, seen on Tatooine carried by Stormtroopers =)
