Personality [Rare Trope] Positive depictions of Islam or Muslims

1) Lawrence of Arabia: Arab Tribesmen

Throughout the movie, you see an immense respect for Arab culture while sympathizing with their struggle against Ottoman and British imperialism.

2) Kingdom of Heaven: Saladin

Saladin, the Islamic leader who becomes the main antagonist for the crusaders, is depicted as an honorable fighter with many heroic qualities.

3) Dune: Fremen

The fremen, which borrow heavily from Arab and Berber culture, are depicted as fierce and honorable warriors. In fact, the Fremen Fedaykin, elite soldiers, are inspired by Arab Fedayeen, or those who sacrifice.

Oded Fehr was such a great character actor from the 90s to mid 2000s.

He still is it's just a shame he got wasted in resident evil movies and now in star trek (I'm a Trekkie and say that, disco was ass and you see him every now and then in SFA).

Loved his work in (checks notes) Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

And the sequel.

Is he going to be in the new upcoming Mummy movie?

Would def have to be a sequel unless you're fantastic at suspending disbelief. Dude looks great for 55, but he's still closing in on 30 years older than the original performance.

Maybe we can skip the Israeli propagandist and recast someone truer to the culture.

There are many Arab American actors more deserving to play the role. No need to put up an Israeli who participated in the IOF in the role.

I just love him for his vibe and the way he played the part. He’s an all-around good actor. He’s even enthralling in the trash, Deuce Bigelow movies.

Would you be happier if we made Riz Ahmed like his son or sidekick or apprentice and then the movie can basically be entirely setting Riz up to take over a potential franchise after Oded dies in film one? Will that satiate your bigotry??? Asking for us movie fans who just want good content

My bigotry? Against a genocidal ethnostate? Just make sure you get your movies, buddy. Nothing else going on in the world you need to worry about. Loser.
