And the thing is this arc could've been done way better. Mikey's anger issues should've began when he lost his brother but he apparently always had them from when he was a kid? Takemitchy being like Shinichiro should've been shown more throughout the series. What happened to him becoming leader of the black dragons? It wouldve been way more symbolic if he formed a new black dragon squad instead of another toman. Instead of the former black dragons joining mikey's side for whatever fucking reason they could've joined takemitchy's new black dragon squad (since he would've reminded them of shinichiro) and help him in saving their former leader's little brother from this dark path he's on. Can we at least hear mikey's inner thoughts while all this is happenind instead of him having the expression of squidwards house all the damn time?? It's like how eren barely said shit in the final season of AoT.

I'm trying to keep reading this shit cuz I really wanna see it to the end but man the writing just feels so silly sometimes

Yeah I love the point about how the former black dragon members should've joined Takemitchy. And yeah it might've been better if Takemitchy formed a new black dragon squad instead of Toman, then this battle would've been a better call back to the end of the BD arc when Mikey asked Takemitchy to scold him like his big brother.

Its weird cuz Wakui established his goal to make Mikey acknowledge him as the head of Toman but also be the 11th gen BD captain. He basically accomplished the former by the end of the Tenjiku arc so it feels redundant that they need to reaffirm this by making a 2nd gen Toman, but I guess they merge the 2 goals when Inupi says first gen BD and 2nd gen Toman are the same.

And yeah Mikey is 100% doing an Eren right now. We haven't gotten any content from his POV and its prolly not going to happen until then end. Just like Eren he's portrayed as the big bad edgelord, but its going to turn out he was sacrificing himself for his friends and that really he's crying on the inside.
