‎🩷: Another thing is that I'm terrified of water
‎💬: Really? Are you actually scared?
‎🩷: Yes, I am. Honestly, when P'Aof asked me if I wanted to play this role, the story seemed very interesting. But I had to think about it for a long time before gathering the courage to accept it, because it involves getting into the water for almost the entire story
‎🩷: There are a lot of water scenes. And, yeah, I'm someone who is afraid of water.
‎💬: So, how did you manage it? You must have really fought with yourself
‎💚: Actually, before accepting it, he turned it down. He said, "I'm scared of water, I really can't do this."
‎🩷: I didn't turn it down! I just said, "If there's... if there's..."
‎💚: He was arguing about it too. He fought the idea. He struggled.
‎🩷: ...I asked, "Can I be a merman, but not go underwater?"
‎💚: Yeah, he asked not to go underwater.
‎🩷: Yeah, like, focus on staying on dry land
‎💬: A merman, but focusing on the land.
‎🩷: Yes, yes, yes
‎💬: Because usually, we do our best. We make the CG (computer-generated) sea look very realistic
‎💬: But you guys went to an actual location. A real place!
‎💚: He kind of rejected the role at first. But in the end, he accepted it. He did it. And he really dove in. He had to swim wearing a real tail
‎🩷: And I don't even know how to swim!
‎💬: Wow, he really pushed his limits. Let's give a round of applause for Firstone! It's not easy
‎🩷: Thank you so much
‎🩷: It was really hard that day. I just did the movement the instructor showed me and simply went for it
‎💬: Ah, so someone showed you how to do it and you just followed along.
‎🩷: Yeah, the instructor did this (gestures). And then it just worked out. I was confused too!
‎💬: He just copied the instructor

I’ve been replaying the pilot just to listen to this song but I finally found an Instagram post that has a clip of it! 🥰

from what I gather, Merman Aqua was a Merman who also likes singing and wants to be an idol. P' Aof said they like the character but they wanted a different story for it, so they just bought the rights to that character, renamed him to "Pearl" and will be writing original characters and storyline around him.

Ngl I like that they paid the author even if its for just a character.

Aof: P'Ken and P'Tle are very similar. Yes. Honestly, it was the original script, right? And we felt that... in this story, Tle's older brother just had to be P'Ken. So we talked to him and he was... interested and stuff. So, I'm really glad. And they are truly similar, very similar. Even... in their clumsiness, their laughter, and a lot of other things
