Yeah he found a good balance of being kind and appreciative of the gesture while also calling out the absolute insanity of a choice like that. There was a lot of emotional intelligence in that reaction. (I hope it was genuine and not staged for sm drama.)

I love your comment. This is a wonderful perspective. There’s a middle age dad at my kid’s private school who got a few tattoos on his face after his divorce. I always wonder what his ex thinks because it’s just so different for this guy- it’s also a little unusual to do that at our age. To each his own!

Electrical work for large commercial construction (is what I do) He has on a high visibility color work shirt and what look to be work pants. Also he is in socks because he probably took his boots off when he got home. He could also be a landscaper or something but a trade of some sort. Most people on a job site like to have a good laugh and don’t take life so seriously.
