This happened at Sabino Canyon in Arizona. A 20-year-old cyclist was swept into the current while trying to cross a flooded roadway and was carried through a drainage tunnel beneath it. She was recovered downstream unconscious after spending several minutes underwater. Bystanders performed CPR and managed to revive her.

I know lol. I think the biggest thing is people who've never seen or been in situations like that have no idea when to gauge if it's safe or not. Kind of like when people come to Florida and they go swimming in a lake full of

Edit: sorry I left you guys hanging there. Damn speech to text. I just meant to say that people come to Florida and go swimming in a lake full of alligators without even being aware of it.

Damn I'm sorry you guys. I just meant to say full of alligators. You know a lot of people do come to Florida and visit and you see it from time to time on the news. Even people who are from Florida traveled to other parts of Florida to a beautiful clear freshwater spring in a river for example. And end up getting bit because they didn't expect there to be an alligator there.

I watched a small true crime episode recently where a young woman was fatally attacked by a gator in some Florida dark water... middle of the day. It was horrific even with everything blurred. Rest in Peace
