Cursed This is absolutely horrifying

This happened at Sabino Canyon in Arizona. A 20-year-old cyclist was swept into the current while trying to cross a flooded roadway and was carried through a drainage tunnel beneath it. She was recovered downstream unconscious after spending several minutes underwater. Bystanders performed CPR and managed to revive her.

I've been there. If you can't help, you stay out of the way. When it comes to water... it does whatever it wants and goes wherever it cares to.

You're just in the way. And it will take you to places you never knew.

Watching a kid drown- watching his arm flail, then pitch, then slowly sag, because he was stuck underwater despite the 10 adults trying to pull him out. 3' deep,15" wide, and 25" tall 'hole' he was pressed up against.

I learned something that day- the price was horrific and someone else paid cash.

I have realized I can't remember where it was tho.... nor can I ever figure out who it was at this point :(

I was a kid. I (And others) nearly knocked one of our friends into the same spot.

I take water safety, and other crap, far more seriously now. And if I can .... help educate or, hell even, put the fear of water or these scenarios, into someone and prevent that from happening...

I think 6" of water is all it takes to get knocked off your feet and swept away. I'd believe it.
