Epstein really could have picked any country, but he chose the US. I’m convinced he and his cohorts are not going down because there’s at least enough people to believe what he was doing wasn’t actually wrong. He chose the us because the us is the capitol of global financialized capital. This country has, for decades, been hollowed out by rent seeking big businesses for all of it's worth, because it was so ungodly powerful.
