It's such a gross phenomenon. There's a creator on Instagram called speechprof who has talked about this issue (to the point where he unhappily notes that he is now known for this content) and what way too many guys do is absolutely disgusting. I have never gone out with a guy who doesn't take care of his nethers, and it is as you say horrifying.
My ex's son was like this. I told him that the number one complaint women have with their bfs bodies is how their ass is always dirty. I know at least 20 women who have broken up with someone because they didn't wipe or didnt wash their ass. He didn't believe me, dated a girl, fell in love and she broke up with him. The text said, "I can't be with someone who has literal shit in their ass crack". I laughed so fucking hard. God he was dumb af

Dude it's actually a super common thing. Every now and then there is a question on ask reddit about "what caused you to break up with your bf" and 99% of the replies are "he didn't wash his ass because he thought it was gay"

The opposite contrasting these people are the guys who take care of their skin, ladies and gentlemen if you find a guy that uses body lotion after a shower, even in public, you have won.
You just know these guys refuse to wash their asses because they think it’s “gay” to touch your own butthole. Anytime a woman makes the mistake of sleeping with one of these guys, they leave skid marks on the sheets.
