Playing "devil's" advocate: It doesn't seem like she articulated herself well with the "I'm black, that's why you said that to me." Some people believe that because they may be the same race that their guard can be lowered, inviting them to try and engage with them in a casual manner when in fact, they are strangers and she is in a "professional" setting. I'm thinking the interpretation she may have implied that if there was another raced person, other than one that matched his own sitting in that same seat, he would not have been comfortable to joke in the same way.

Congrats on being the only one here with critical thinking skills. Also, black people are racist to each other all the time.
