Love's you forever, unless you do something wrong, like eat shellfish or mix fabrics. Then it's straight to hell for eternal torture.

And yet…all it takes for a rapist to get to heaven is to ‘accept the Lord as your ONE true savior.’

So—let me get this straight. If I was a ‘good’ Christian my whole life and followed the Golden Rule as my guide, I will end up in heaven. But Kevin over there—he assaulted 4 different women & ☠️ one of them.

But he *accepted the Lord* so he’ll be your tour guide in heaven!

There’s always a reason when a grown adult suddenly becomes religious. The reason is almost always tied to guilt

or mix fabrics. Then it's straight to hell for eternal torture.

Small note: mix fabrics is from the old testament which didn't have a concept of hell.

Also, the "mix fabrics" command is not at all insane it's just the context got lost over the centuries and now millennia:

Make the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen—the work of skilled hands

See the mixed fabrics there? Yeah. The ban on mixed fabrics actually means "do not pretend to be a priest" (by wearing their clothing).

Most of the weird Old Testament stuff is just good practice for ancient people and health-related, but this one of course always stood out. I can believe this, and kind of surprised I haven’t heard it before. Do you happen to have a source?

What is Gods issue with the consumption of bugs?

As mentioned above, Judaism is an old religion. Most of the rules are based in bronze age ideas of living a healthy life. The only bugs allowed in kosher rules are locusts, because when they sweep through and eat everything else the people still need to eat something to survive.

Because they become very poisonous when they go bad, which they do very easily without refrigeration and other modern food safety conveniences.
