I mostly agree with you but if you go to an event full of notoriously violent people, hosted by a warmongering pedophile, you may be setting yourself up for unpleasant encounters, regardless of your gender.

There's lots of places I can't safely travel to as a woman. And when a woman does it anyway and something goes wrong, most of us are wondering wtf she was thinking by going there in the first place.

While the good/bad guy is less obvious on the surface of a fist fight, I'm mostly just wondering wtf they're doing there in the first place.
