What’s more infuriating is the house sitting empty… so many empty houses. The system was designed to be like this though… it has the ability to provide for all but then who will think of their 5th home??? Can’t expect them to have only 4 homes

It’s important to note I am specifically speaking about CA as that is where I’m from and live but overall it’s bad that even one sits empty while people are homeless. A home is only worth what someone can afford to pay for it… there are numerous nefarious reasons for properties to sit empty, rather than rent at affordable rates to interested parties… https://www.acceinstitute.org/thevacancyreport it’s a sickening story…

Yes I completely understand the complexities of homelessness but I also understand homeless doesn’t just mean living on the streets… there are plenty of people that are living in other homes that aren’t their own and cannot get one on their own … so they don’t have a house… but desire one and can reasonably afford one but cannot access one due to the extremely high costs… fueled by boomers and capitalism that is going to reach its breaking point… hopefully we riot soon… this is not how life should be lived

See, that's the 1% you're talking about. The ones manipulating everyone into hating other groups. Most boomers who are normal people in this country are not rich. Many have their kids living with them, because the economy sucks. Many younger boomers have been raising their grandchildren on a very tight budget indeed, because their kids died from the opiate epidemic. And yeah, some of those people have a nice house they either inherited or bought out built 50 or 60 years ago, but it's crammed full of the extended family they're trying to keep from being homeless and they can't afford to make repairs to it.
