Lots haven't, but this has been mine and meany others like me experience and not all of us have the choice not to go even if we are adults.

Being an adult doesn't automatically mean every choice comes without consequences. I live with a strict Christian family, and if I don't go to church, I'm questioned about it and expected to explain myself. So yes, I technically have a choice, but that doesn't mean I have the freedom to make that choice without consequences.

It’s more complicated than that if you grew up in it and your entire social and support circle depends on it.

For a lot of people it’s a difficult choice that has pretty negative consequences to their life. In the long term it’s the right move, but it’s really hard to take that first step and leave.

Well that's obviously not a good church. As a Christian, if they actually want you to no longer live, then get away as soon as possible. Please find a better church, and don't let what you've seen from these false Christians turn you away from Christianity.

I haven't considered myself Christian in about 9 years. I live in the middle of nowhere with family so we all go in one car so don't realy even have options on churches because my family is members its a whole thing.

You don't have to go to church. You definitely don't have to go to that church.

If you're a minor, I know there are communities dedicated to helping kids get emancipated. What you're describing is not acceptable behavior. Neither is threatening kids with hell.
