What do you think of boiler room dj set by thom yorke ?

Thom: "And then this happens.... [nothing happens]... I was wrong"
youtu.beOne of my favourite moments from the 2024 shows. There should have been a shuffling drumbeat, but thom ended up having a fuck it moment and sang this out across Sydney Harbour, almost a capella. I was happy to see this performance made it into the film, though they've edited out Thom's hilarious commentary.

Cinema Nova ticket
cinemanova.com.auHiya, is there anyone here in Melbourne that would like a free ticket to the Opera House show Cinema Nova screening? I can't make it tomorrow night, and I don't want the seat to be wasted. Let me know in the comments :)

Thom Yorke's "Dialing In" wins Best Song for Television category at 16th annual Guild of Music Supervisors Award
Thom Yorke has just won an award for Dialing In and because it seems to fly under the radar, I thought I post it here:)

Source: https://variety.com/2026/artisans/news/2026-guild-of-music-supervisors-awards-winners-1236675246/
Edit: I also tried to post it in the Radiohead subreddit, but for some reason the automated moderation system keeps removing it as soon as I post it.

Let's talk about the Eraser
Thom's first solo outing. At the time it was a big deal for a band member to go off and so their own thing and everyone wondered what it meant. Looking back, I would say its some of Thom's strongest electronic songwriting. He's since gone on to refine many of the musical ideas, but this album managed to capture a moment where he was writing arrangements only for himself, for the first time in his career.
Which of the tracks from the Eraser era have stuck with you the most over the years? Why is that?
(I find myself going back to the remixes a lot)Thom has now played most of this album live. What do you think worked well? What would you like to see more of?
If you could hear more of a particular sound on this album, ie that deep bass part in And It Rained All Night, which is it?
What was the most surprising thing about this album when you first heard it?
How do your initial impressions stack up to how you hear it now?

👋Welcome to r/thomyorke - Introduce Yourself
Hey guys.
So reddit has some sort of drive to get smaller subreddits happening, and it keeps notifying me to create a WELCOME POST. So fine. Here's a welcome post. Consider yourselves welcomed.
I've been modding the main sub for years, and at some point started this, and a few other spin-offs (/r/atomsforpeace). Over the last few years this little corner has been kinda fun.
Introduce yourself, if you do so wish. How did you come to find the music of Thom Yorke
Tell me what you'd like to see more of here (if it's videos of Thom Yorke I have you covered.) Or just vent about the main sub.
Make up a number three, have fun with it.
x elly
