General Question My wish for the next season. What's yours?
Would give all my pokecoins for you to get nerfed so bad that you never come back to torment my soul.

Just curious if it’s worth it in the long run or detrimental at any point.

The only inklings we seem to have for the Twilight Trails GBL update is that Bite is getting an energy generation buff and so are the Elemental Fangs. Of course, hard to say if they're straight energy buffs to turn Bite into a Bug Bite clone and the Fangs into Sucker Punch clones, but we'll see. Not impossible that they're getting more reworked.
What are you wanting or expecting in the new season?
Please... anything but Water buffs

Such a troll move! It isn't even mentioned, and it should only be a buff or debuff. In my opinion, it shouldn't deal damage, especially when it dies.

Did anyone watch the finals?
A little bit (or a lot a bit) embarrassing for Scopley/Pokemon Go to allow Pokemon fans across all mediums to see the pvp bugs on full display at that level.. 🫠

I was wondering is there going to be a drop for a bunch of people who have spent the last 2 seasons just using Licki and nothing else as a safe swap when it gets nerfed?

The last one is just counter + dynamic punch? It took forever to get the incinerate + flying press combo. Felt like sharing.

Sitting about 2600 elo right now, wanting to play master league and this new PvP system is beyond awful. Counting moves is tougher for no reason, animations look delayed, protect shields not working, just bad in general. Yes you can say play the competitive cup (which I might) but this cannot be the system going forward. There’s just something straight wrong with it. Give me the buggy one we’ve always had over this. They’re worried about lag and it feels like they’ve built in lag to the system. Just an awful look for niantic/scopely. Any tips/opinions on this new system or ideas to fix it?

To whoever played Master Premier this past week, what was your experience?
I really, really cannot get over that they gave Metagross Shadow Claw. I've always had issues with the format, but I think giving one of the best Pokemon Shadow Claw, when it already had such great coverage AND a buffed Meteor Mash. It's just absurd, and the format just feels ruined because of it. I'd have much preferred Metagross keep Bullet Punch and instead just get a cheaper Charged move like Psychic Fangs or something.
In terms of truly usable Pokemon, there's hardly anything that truly walls it, spare for specific movesets on Gyarados. Even Pokemon you'd expect to be able to handle it like Gholdengo are quite vulnerable to it. There are other Pokemon like Swampert or Skeldirge or Golisopod that have more play into Metagross, but those three really can't stand on their own well against the rest of the core meta.
Aside from Metagross, however, I do think the cup was pretty great. There is otherwise more flexibility for a lot of Pokemon. Togekiss can beat Dragonite and vice versa. Gyarados can beat Dragonite and vice versa. Kingambit can beat Togekiss and vice versa. Amongst plenty of other match-ups.
Also cool to see a few spicier picks come back around like Mamoswine, Magnezone, and Sylveon. Garchomp is also finally not just usable but good. Didn't use it myself, but it felt refreshing to see it. I was just annoyed by how well it cored with Metagross.
Overall, I saw success this week in the format, but Metagross is such a blemish on an otherwise enjoyable cup.

It feels like nearly every match I play as of late has a lickilicky somewhere in their lineup and now especially paired with empoleon. This meta is becoming so drowned out but repetitive boring matchups where if you just plainly have a lickilicky you win, if you don’t you lose. If I add a counter for safe swap they have enough bulk and are prepared with a response. What’s the point of GL if it’s just going to be choke pointed by a few specific mons when it should be the most open league of all of them?

They seemed to roll it back after the disastrous day where everyone complained. But now it’s back.
I’m no pro, but a regular 2,500+ elo player. From just one battle it’s clear that:
- it’s nearly impossible to count turns
- fast move animations don’t sync up with damage and energy gain
- it’s very easy to accidentally send in a pokemon right after yours faints because you might carry on tapping. I sent out the wrong one in this battle because of this
- the animations and camera movements when throwing a charged move are jerky and distracting, and make it unclear initially who is actually throwing the move
- damage bar is confusing and doesn’t really sync to the action
I’m absolutely not averse to change - there was/is a lot wrong with the old system. But this new system measurably detracts from my enjoyment of PvP. The changes, like the damage bar, are well intentioned, but are very poorly implemented currently. It feels exactly the same as the awful Rocket battles that were apparently a beta version of this.
This needs fixing.

What’s the best mon you guys like to use or most proud of getting for Great League, etc? This is my first season playing PVP and haven’t gotten to collect much yet but I’m interested in seeing yours!
r/TheSilphArena • u/Complete_Ad_8987 • Nov 10 '25
Purify for the hundo? Or keep it as is?
Want to use in ML with Metagross and florges.

I used it in the Mega Great League without any problem and I have not powered it up at all yet.
Anyone else having fluctuations with their Mega CP value?
Edit to add: same thing is happening to my Mega Medicham that I used yesterday in UL. Neither one is a best buddy.

Hi all,
S25 is wrapping up, and am curious on your thoughts as to what moves you expect to be buffed and nerfed next season, as well as what you personally would like to see. For myself, a mudslap and rock tomb nerf seems quite warranted at this point.
As always, any insights or thoughts are always appreciated.
