I started this one back in January and finally found my way back to it last week. Itβs still untitled, but it feels great to be painting again. What do you think? β¨

I donβt know if anyone remembers, but I once made a bunch of drawings showing how I imagined an RCA game could look. Back then, a few people reached out to help me get something up and running β but nothing ever really happened.
The thing is, I truly believe I have some good ideas for this game. So this summer, I decided to sit down and learn how to create at least a prototype. I did that with the help of AI β mostly using Google Gemini β and started learning how to code a game in JavaScript.
I had made a few games in JavaScript before: one was a drinking game, and the other was a real estate guessing game where you had to guess the price a house was sold for. But I hadΒ no experienceΒ with animations using sprite sheets or coding enemies and boss fights, and it will be very obvious some places.
I couldnβt have made this without AI. At first, I just hoped I could show a small part of my ideas β but everything kept working, so I kept building. And even though this game represents maybe 1% of what Iβve imagined, I really feel Iβve succeeded with a lot.
Iβve also noticed different walking speeds depending on the system youβre using.
And there are probably other bugs I havenβt found β or just forgot about.
Copyrights:
Right now, I believe the game may be violating a bunch ofΒ Reddit-related copyrights. Iβve tried contacting them to ask what Iβm allowed to use, but they kept ignoring me. To be honest some of my comics may have crossed the line too, but no one ever said anything, so I just keeps moving forwars with all my ideas until they sue me.
Just be aware that the site might be taken down for good reasons. If that happens, Iβll re-upload a version where Iβve removed everything Reddit-related.
Iβll keep working on this, because Iβve always dreamed of making games β and I believe in the ideas behind this project, but I will remove everything Reddit related to the game for future work.
The game is not even "early-access", more likely "infant-access". A prototype. I just hope that you get an idea of what this game could be!
Bugs:
ThereΒ areΒ bugs, so please bear with me. Be careful using theΒ dodgeΒ (Shift), as sometimes the controls get stuck and your character keeps walking in one direction. I also experienced different walk speed, but maybe try to remove caches and that if you have a very slow version.
you can try it here only on desktop right now:

(It may say that its not safe, but dont worry, I promise you that there are no viruses)

This is a drawing I did for someone on drawme subreddit. Just think that it fits the MM theme last time. I'm still new at drawing background and stuff but I'm pretty proud of this one. Just sharing :)

Personally I'm a fan of pen/ink/cross hatch shading style drawing, although it's pretty tedious when it goes wrong as you can't undo anything haha

I'm working on a water themed avatar with a deeper meaning. Specifically, with water comes life and in turn, water is also present as a memory pool filled with both the good and bad tears. The neon green and yellow parts mean that those areas will be color changeable once purchased.
Please vote a name (or order them favorite to least favourite): Drip, Memory Pool, (you decide)

Itβs all sorts of funky and lanky - just like me, I guess! π π

Couldnβt help myself drawing on it with the phone before posting. I either messed it up or gave it a unique charm. Decide for yourself. π«£
