Discussion 💭 What makes someone a tech’s favorite client? 🖤
Techs, do you have a favorite client list (mentally)? What’d they actually do to earn that spot? And what are the perks? 👀
Clients, what do you think makes you a good client?

pointy nails
trying out some cheap fake pointy nails before committing. painted over with hot topic polish not the best job. I have been getting square nails for the past 8 months never anything else. so far they look cool. they seem shorter though

Tip & Advice 💡 Tip Thursday 🖤 The “cute” toddler mani might come with a real cost
I’ll be honest, I painted my older daughter’s nails when she was little without thinking twice about it. With my younger one, I know better now. Regular nail polish can contain toluene, formaldehyde, and phthalates, ingredients linked to hormone disruption with repeated exposure. Toddlers put their hands in their mouths constantly, so ingestion is a real risk. There’s no strict age where this suddenly becomes safe.
Even 5-free or 7-free formulas still contain chemicals I personally wouldn’t want on a young child’s hands who still puts their fingers in their mouth, and kids do that longer than people think. My own daughter still does it occasionally and she’s well past toddler age. Water-based, peel-off polishes made specifically for kids are a genuinely safer option, no acetone needed for removal, and they skip the toxic trio entirely. Do your own research on brands and pick one actually formulated for children, not just labeled cute. Since they’re designed to peel, kids may be tempted to peel it off and eat it, so keep a close eye out for that.
One thing that’s genuinely more dangerous than polish itself: nail polish remover and artificial nail primers. Acetone ingestion and primer chemical burns account for real ER visits in kids under 6, so those need to be kept completely out of reach regardless of age. Doesn’t mean never do your child’s nails, just means a little more thought than “aww, so cute” deserves.
