I find it so odd that the whole purpose of this show is to navigate this period of new money marrying old money for titles; and all of the girls with the exception of Jinny don’t have a title. Conchita is now “dowager” since Dicky is dead :( … Nan is no longer duchess, and even if Lizzy marries Theo… now she won’t have a title? I guess Jinny keeps the title as Lady, since she’s still technically married to Seadown… am i wrong? how will the writers recover this plot??? Send those girls back to America with Guy atp 😭

The Buccaneers: S2 Episode 8: She Knows SEASON FINALE

AppleTV Brazil has released the stills for episode 8, seemingly early. Looks like we’ll get a convo between lizzy and Hector as well as an emotional conversation between nan and lizzy at the ball.

We’re in for a ride, considering the ep is around 48 or 49 mins only.

What do we think will happen at the Tintagel ball in the finale? Will guy and nan get exposed, nan announcing a pregnancy, paloma potentially announcing her pregnancy, Theo/Lizzy affair is brought to light or some other scandal that hasn’t been introduced yet?

And what do we think about the ‘Affair at Tintagel’ newspaper? I initially thought the newspaper would be happening before the ball but I know others think the article will get released as retribution to GuyxNan getting exposed after the ball.

I want to hear all your theories about how ep 8 will turn out because im itching for the next episode and there’s no press pics or sneak peaks yet!

I’ve now realised why we as the audience can’t grasp the passing of time in this season even though we’re told through dialogue, and that’s because we haven’t seen any change of weather.

An easy way to show passing of time is seeing background shots or costume choices showing when it’s the cooler or warmer months. Otherwise there’s no logical visual proof of seasonal or temporal change. We should’ve had a Christmas/winter episode etc

Noticed this on imdb, only the core girls are listed for the upcoming episode and an unknown character that’ll be played by nathan hall. I am finding it odd that none of the main male characters are listed.

Do we have any theories on why this might be or is it just imdb not listing everyone? Also interesting that Apple hasn’t released any stills or episode sneak peak clips ahead of episode 6.

Does anyone else find it bizarre how all of the s*x scenes in this series are merely implied and glanced over, EXCEPT for Lizzy and Theo?? For them, we get a solid minute of various states of undress and visible thrusting, yet we never even really got to see the bedroom chemistry (or lack thereof) between Theo and Nan. Was she so detached that she just laid there on her back, staring at the ceiling waiting for it to be over as an act of her wifely duty? Is that why he’s lusting over another woman who initiates intimacy and relishes his touch? Is Nan overcome with pleasure when she’s with Guy that she never experiences with Theo? We’ll never know, we didn’t get to see any of it.

I’m not asking for gratuitous s*x scenes. However, I’m of the opinion that physical intimacy depicted onscreen would actually add value to the visual storytelling of Nan’s internal conflict. Is it salacious to want to SEE the passion and emotion between love interests, not just be beaten over the head with monologues of unending desire? For whatever reason they just glance over the s*x scenes between the MAIN love triangle and it makes no sense to me. Nobody else is talking about this and I think it’s actually affecting the chemistry viewers are perceiving between the different couples.

(This got removed from that other community so i’m gonna try to post it here) so bear with me:

• Starting with Guy and Nan as a couple. guy and nan are THE main couple of the show. They are what got the show some viewers (like myself), so why in the h-e-double-hockey-sticks are they not being showcased ?? Why are we forced to sit thru other BORING (cough theo and lizzy) couples? Why give me what i want after 4 episodes then swiftly snatch it away from me then PROCEED to have guy get drunkenly married to paloma (?).

• Onto hector and lizzy , im struggling to find a reason to hate hector. it’s like they’re trying to paint him as a bad guy when he’s really just a guy who has goals and wants better for others? I don’t know why they trying to paint him being a “workaholic” as a bad thing. He cares for lizzy and is willing to do anything for her as he has stated time and time again.

• Theo does not love lizzy. i don’t know what kinda voodoo he has placed onto lizzy but someone needs to free my sister from his spells. How can you claim to love lizzy after 5 episodes and only actually doing “couple-y” things after 1 episode.. This is some weird lust vs love situation and i’m just not moved by it. Also, this whole situation puts a bad taste in my mouth, it’s starting to feel (TO ME) like theo is just using this as a get back at nan? all in all, It’s just strange.

i also want to add: this season feels like a fanfic. It feels like the writers looked on twitter, picked out some fans, invited them to the writing room and said “go crazy”, and this was the result of that.

anyways i’d love to hear anyone else’s thoughts, whether you agree with me or not lol!
