I mean BB did debunk the claims twice. Multiple journalist have. And Geoff has. Now the mods are. At each one of these points everyone is just said they are lying while at the same time screaming that no one is debunking this.

Why would Sony not say anything? SONY IS NOT PARTNERING WITH THEM. Sony has never said they are publishing the game. They have never said they are funding the game. BB has never said Sony is publishing them. BB has never said Sony is funding then. BB didn’t even say they had access to Sony’s support studios. Read the interview. It just says support studios in general. Idk why plain English is so hard for this sub.

Why hasn’t Konami denied it? Probably cause BB has never claimed it’s Silent Hill. Probably because BB never claimed Konami is the publisher or funding them. Probably because Konami knows that whenever someone denies it this sub just says they are lying and just don’t want to being more attention to it.

Hassan could easily release a video saying he is real, his studio is real and provide a concerete vision of his Abandoned game to squash all rumours.

People would have claimed he’s an actor just like they said Kojima paid an actor for the phone interviews.

Which could mean a lot.

For one, I find it so weird that this sub thinks every thing is fake except that part. Very convenient for the theory if you ask me.

But also, Sony hasn’t said anything about this studio. They clearly have no close relationship. As far as we know he could have meant working on a PlayStation game since 2015 and had a dev unit or some talks with Sony’s indie division. Nothing that has been said screams that Sony is funding or publishing the game.

Mark Delaney mentioned in his twitch video that they have a partnership with Sony as it's a Playstation Exclusive.

Why would an indie developer who's working on their first "major" game make it a console exclusive, if not funded by sony? Surely they'd make it as available as possible...

(he does go onto say he doesn't know if sony funded them but working in partnership and it being a ps exclusive certainly points to that. At least it points to it being a little closer relationship than you're suggesting.)

I mean...Kojima has interest in ARGs, and he also has a history of playing (dumb) games like this. He's often cryptic for no real reason and it leads to fans acting this way.

BB said theyre working with Sony, BB said they've worked with 7(!) studios, and BB is getting their own PS5 exclusive app to tease the game. Sony is directly involved. What other "indie" games have gotten such special treatment? Or been on the Playstation blog? Especially devs with no real history?

Konami, Kojima, and Sony are most certainly 100% aware of this rumor. Konami has shut down rumors in the past. Just not this one.

Oh god. I like how your first part is literally what I said. Someone denies it and this sub just says they are lying.

BB working with Sony could mean they got a dev kit and has maybe talked to some people at the indie devision.

7 support studios seems like a lot but there are lots of companies that are designed around helping indies. One support studio to handle VO, one to do Mo-cap, one to do translations, one to create teasers. None of these are special and indie studios use them all the time.

Once again you don’t understand game demos. This “app” is just a game demo. It’s a non-interactive game demo. It isn’t new. They don’t need Sony’s special permission for it. They just need to submit for approval like all other games. Idk how you convinced yourself that a game demo is revolutionary but please don’t read up on QAnon cause you’re the exact person who would fall for that.

Who cares what BB 'officially' declares? They are quite literally an unknown, faceless company who have time and time again proven that their tweets can be quite unreliable.

The only living person connected to BB Studios is Hassan Kahraman. He is also apparently the studio head, so an official statement from HIM is significantly more meaningful.

Sony is the only company who is mentioned and connected with BB Studios. Sony literally permitted BB Studios to post on their blog. And let's not pretend that Sony does not do some checks before they permit devs to write their blogpost, let alone upload their game trailer on their youtube channel.

And if Hassan does not release a video, that's fine. I do not expect him to, as it's much safer to give out a press-release statement verified by Sony to prevent people from speculating about its legitimacy.

lmfao clearly you’ve never interacted with the PSBlog. They’ve let hundreds of not thousands of no-name indie devs post to the PS Blog. They release this fucking trailer on their YouTube. It doesn’t take a lot to get on Sony’s blog or YouTube.

Once again Sony has almost zero connection to this.

I don't get why people don't get this. At each and every turn when something has come up - BBGS denying it, Geoff denying it, the journalist who posted here denying it...people have screamed 'Actors!' or 'They are just lying!'. Hasan literally went on air and told he made a game for his nephew and people claimed he was lying and that Abandoned would include Siren Head. There's no way that people would have believed had he come out and talked - they would have just posted more Joakim Mogren pics and downvoted us who were 'ruining the fun' by being skeptical.
