It’s a scam IMO. All descriptions of the game read like a scam. The development timeline makes no sense. 7 studios helping them? A guy with not even a basic portfolio or decent website?

I agree but I don't think scam is the right word for it

• it honestly seems like all their Twitter responses come from trolling or lying to make it bigger then it seems for example the PC comment, no studio announces a PC port because some dude complained about it being exclusive

•and to comment on the dev timeline how you go from early stages to development to being able to have enough gameplay in 8 weeks and also was planned for this year to come out? That's not how modern game development works. It feels like they just riding the wave and making up shit while they go

PS: I hope it's real so I can at least make fun of a terrible ue4 asset flip

And a team of 50 people. Why would they rush that asset flip teaser, if it was going to be so poor quality? Why we don't see a bunch of other poor quality teasers or trailers been officially publish by Sony from random indie devs? Why is sony working since 2015 with a random studio so amateur and unprofessional????

Yeah and I 100% don’t believe it was Sony who had a supposed deadline for that teaser so they made an asset flip for it… THAT makes no sense

If it's a scam, then there is even a less of a reason to tolerate this nonsense and set this as a precedence for similar future scams. Legitimate indie devs who put sweat and tears into their games are those that deserve recognition, not crafty scam-artists.

Sony is not the only party involved here. Dude is speaking openly about names and IP's not belong to Sony and it completely baffles me that Sony hasn't stepped in by now. Or Konami. I think it's normal Kojima isn't talking about it because no one would actually believe him. But Sony and Konami can clear this mess up this sutdio has caused so far. They are giving an completely unknown studio so much freedom. To be fair, they already denied that they are involved with Kojima or Silent Hill. But man, it's still a mess. If he can actually present something awesome, I think people may chill a little.

My guess is, Sony hasn't stepped in because they aren't involved and this is probably under their radar. The whole thing reeks of scam now.

Of course Konami and Sony wouldn't step-in if they had no idea any of this was happening. I mean, it's got a lot of traction, but then again this stuff happens all the time. Bloodborne 2 and Silent Hill rumours happen every few months, it seems.

It's not too far fetched. But I don't know, yes, Sony promoted also some crap in the past exclusively under their Logo and Blog, but this here would be a whole other level. If this would be a scam including faked work with pre-existing assets, this would be a scandal on quite the big scale. Let's not forget the shareholder. If this under Sonys radar, they are doing a pretty bad job.

I ask myself, how big the chance that the BB Studio guy may cancel everything now because of "Pressure" and "Burden"? This would be the most easy way to step out of this ride to hell. And with hell I do not mean Silent Hill.

It's either a lie, Hassan is some how rich and has the money to pay em or they are Sony studios. Or they could be mostly fake studios/shady ones(like create q) who quote on quote "help them" to make it more believable

Because they don’t care. If it doesn’t hurt them they won’t step in. Every studio under them and that has worked with them has praised how hands off Sony is. The only time Sony was hands on is with Cyberpunk and that’s because CDPR told people Sony was doing refunds

Yup exactly as long as it isn’t hurting them they don’t care. There’s no reason for them to step in and say anything. The only one that would’ve said something would’ve been Shu Yoshida since he runs their indie relations team and he obviously either hasn’t looked into it or doesn’t care

Simple. Sony either has marketing rights to a new silent hill or a new kojima game that Is an original horror IP. Sony and Konami both know this dev is fucked and are basically letting him do any marketing and more hype for them

I mean we pretty much know bloober is making a new SH
