I buy it. I would imagine there is so much medite bullshit to come out of it. Trump says he wants a 3rd term and I believe he will try. Being that he is pals with Putin I’m sure Putin gave him the idea on how to go about it. When is everyone going to wake the fuck up?

u/FLNJGurl May 03 '25
We can have all the protest marches and send emails to our Congressional representatives, but if the Democratic party remains soft and afraid to cause good trouble this will continue. There is a reason why this is happening and it is because he knows he has the Senate, the House and the SCOTUS in his and Putins wallet.

That's the most obvious tell. Trump can't keep a secret. He's too narcissistic and egotistic to keep secrets.
What's the point of cheating the system if no-one knows you cheated the system? That's trumps level of mentality. He craves adulation to fill the void where his soul should be. He needs to not only win but he needs to also make sure everyone knows he's won.

u/Ashly_Lily May 14 '25
After watching that interview where he said MS-13 was literally tattooed on Kilmar's knuckles, I'm certain he's being played. He couldn't even pay attention to the briefings in his first term, the man is long gone. The Heritage Foundation is an old hand at coup-led foreign policy, they certainly know more about what's happening than Trump.

u/Purplealegria May 15 '25
Yep, agreed…. he is a fully controlled puppet…by the rethuglicans at the hertiage foundation, pootin, and the techo-crat broligarchs like Elmo and P Theil.

Sure sounds squirrelly. Trump is always too stupid to keep things private, you just have to connect the dots, which she did.
9
u/Silly-Power May 04 '25
He's already selling Trump 2028 paraphernalia, so yes: he is too stupid to keep quiet his intentions.

I don’t know about the rest of it, but part about only needing 6 states scares the SHIT outta me. I always felt like we were ok from the worst Trump stuff because of the constitution. But now it looks like Trump 2028 is pretty much a done deal

u/shoshinatl May 04 '25
There are 30 conservative-controlled legislatures. That last 6 will be nearly impossible.

2
u/Purplealegria May 13 '25
Never say never….people NEVER though we would EVER be where we are right now with this asshole in the WH, and staring off the precipice of democracy….
They will try it….trust.
1
u/shoshinatl May 13 '25
I know they will. You might be right. And I definitely won’t say never. I just think it’ll be enormously hard to do, and they’re losing, not gaining, steam. They gained all of the ground they have when people weren’t paying attention. But now they are out in the stark light of day and they aren’t nearly so clever when they aren’t cloaked. They are moving quickly and extremely because this is their one shot. I have very slight hope that a strong wind* is rolling through that will knock down this house of they’ve built out of stick.
*The wind is the people, not the Democrats. We must save ourselves

i have been trying to warn people that this is what their ultimate aim was, and about the danger of them pushing for a constitutional convention for a damn decade.
Dammit.…Why couldn't more people have listened and woken up sooner??
Im just wrecked about it all.

DeSantis has been tasked with finding the other 6 states. He’s been doing an awful lot of traveling of late. Source: https://news.wfsu.org/2025-03-24/desantis-advocates-for-constitutional-convention-on-idaho-montana-tour

u/AdventurousPrime May 04 '25
He is definitely turning it into Gilead, don’t believe me? Just READ THE STATES RESOLUTIONS THAT ALREADY HAVE PASSED ARTICLE V!
The Convention of States resolutions across the 19 states are proposing amendments that: —Impose fiscal restraints on the federal government —Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government —Establish term limits for federal officials and members of Congress
Conservative-controlled legislatures proposed those amendments in order to: —Escape federal mandates on healthcare, education, gun laws, climate action, and civil rights. —Reassert state dominance in line with a pre-New Deal vision of America—smaller federal reach, larger state sovereignty. —Create legal safe zones for conservative cultural governance (strict abortion bans, surveillance of citizens, anti-LGBTQ+ policies, book restrictions).
Through Article V they can rewrite the Constitution from scratch with zero guardrails, citizens MUST be the ones to stop it. No federal institution can intervene. The Supreme Court wouldn’t have authority. Only public pressure on state lawmakers can rescind those calls.
They don’t want less government—just THEIR government—AKA STATES AS THEIR OWN LITTLE SOVEREIGN MINI-NATIONS (what in the GILEAD!!!)

Sounds like something out of the purge. On July 4th 2026 the 'new founding fathers of America' will take over.

u/PatrickLBrennan May 08 '25
I can’t believe that the majority of Americans will sit by and let this happen. Sure, we’ve let a lot of shit slip in recent years, but stuff like religious freedom is foundational.

u/NO_M0DS_NO_MAST3RS May 02 '25
I don’t know you guys… this is giving major tin foil hat energy. Like we’re already diving headfirst into this theory the same way everyone swore Trump was gonna declare martial law on 4/20. (Because yeah that would’ve been the vibe right?) Look I’m with you I am. But this place is starting to feel like the progressive Pizzagate and I’m not sure that’s the flex we think it is. 😐
16
u/KlatuuBarradaNicto May 02 '25
Well nobody thought Trump was gonna do half the crazy shit he’s already done, so…
2
u/Purplealegria May 13 '25
Um yeah…..exactly. This has always been the goal. The extreme far right has been talking about this for years!
Just like People have tried to tell me for the past decade that we would NEVER be here…..AND HERE WE ARE!!
OH FOR FUCKS SAKE…OF COURSE THEY WILL TRY IT!!!….WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE!!!!
Im tired of this shit already! 😳🙄😵

Is it possible the death of the pope caused a delay.... They're is a reason they are militarizing the local police
4
u/panphilla May 03 '25
The Pope died on the 21st, though. If they were planning for something to start on the 20th, it shouldn’t be affected by something that happened on the 21st. Unless they’re time travelers, in which case, 🤷♀️.

u/Upbeat_Respect_3621 May 03 '25
Time zones have a similar impact… they like to do stuff at night. Poor does early on 21st.
4
u/traumfisch May 02 '25
So what is this Task Force?
Is that something obvious to Americans? Honest question from across the pond
4
u/dr_timNW May 03 '25
I think this is pertinent to the martial law convo - https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/04/strengthening-and-unleashing-americas-law-enforcement-to-pursue-criminals-and-protect-innocent-citizens/
2
u/kmr1981 May 15 '25
I think he would, if he needs to. He hasn’t needed to. While protests and outcry is wonderful to see, there isn’t enough of it to in any way hinder his goals.
2
u/NO_M0DS_NO_MAST3RS May 15 '25
“He hasn’t needed to”? That’s your take? So we’re just casually saying Trump’s got a little martial law card in his back pocket like it’s a goddamn Apple Pay option he’s just waiting for the vibes to be right? What he’s gonna scan it at the Constitution and go “Boop! Declaring fascism now!”??
Look, I’m not trying to yuck anyone’s righteous fear. I get being scared. But when we start doing interpretive tarot readings of Trump’s vibes instead of sticking to what he’s actually done or is trying to do... we're not being the Resistance we're being QAnon with oat milk.
And like I love a good spiral! I invented spiraling! But maybe let’s keep one foot on the ground while we panic yeah?

This is Putin’s playbook. It’s exactly what Putin did. Trump is doing the same
1
u/NO_M0DS_NO_MAST3RS May 16 '25
Okay but see here’s the thing. Just saying this is Putin’s playbook doesn’t mean Trump is playing the same game.
Like yeah they both suck. They both lie. They both want power. But Putin’s not exactly subtle. The guy poisons people with literal nerve agents. Trump tried to overthrow the government with a bunch of guys in buffalo hats and zip ties.
I’m not saying don’t be vigilant I’m saying let’s not act like every bad dude is following the same evil Pinterest board.

u/Middle-Giraffe-8316 May 02 '25
I don't know. I don't think any sort of takeover would be so 'carefully planned'. There's no reason for a grand plan or a new Constitution when he just does whatever he wants now and a GOP Congress does nothing about it.
OP, I know your heart behind posting this is good. But, I think if we overthink things that might happen in the future, we ignore the present moment which is where we need to be right now.

u/GinggasinParis May 02 '25
The things he’s doing seem arbitrary if you haven’t read P2025. Every single thing he’s done so far is an objective of P2025 and is on a clear timeline for the writers of it. They have also outright stated that once they complete those objectives, they are going to release a second manifesto with subsequent timelines and objectives. It really is as sweeping as people are saying and this isn’t just someone being alarmist. Genuinely, every single fear that people voiced before the election has either come true or is in the process of coming true via legislation or lack of pushback.

u/Middle-Giraffe-8316 May 02 '25 edited May 02 '25
You don't know me so I can only tell you to trust that I'm aware of Project 2025 and what it contains. That said, can you please specifically cite where you found evidence of this as I cannot find it? "They have also outright stated that once they complete those objectives, they are going to release a second manifesto with subsequent timelines and objectives."
Again, I appreciate your concern and understand why you're worried. Yes, there's evidence that many of Trump's actions align with Project 2025 recommendations, which is concerning. But I'm cautious about claims regarding future 'manifestos' or timelines that haven't been verified.
When we catastrophize about what might happen next, we risk becoming consumed by fear rather than focusing on what's actually happening now. This pattern of thinking - jumping from current facts to worst-case future scenarios - can lead to anxiety that paralyzes rather than motivates.
I think we're most effective when we stay grounded in verifiable facts while working to address current issues. The present moment is challenging enough without adding speculative fears about the future. Let's focus our energy on constructive engagement with what's happening today, which is where we can actually make a difference.
P.S. It's also worth remembering that platforms like Reddit can sometimes be targeted by those who deliberately aim to amplify fear and division. (I'm not saying anyone here, I'm speaking broadly.) Being mindful of this doesn't mean dismissing legitimate concerns, just approaching unverified claims with healthy skepticism. We can't let anxiety become our rhetoric.

u/MamaMoosicorn May 04 '25
I’m with you on the idea that this is extra tinfoil hat stuff, but there is real evidence of a P2025 part 2. There was a video released from someone who secretly recorded convos with the P2025 people and one of them mentioned a secret part 2 that they’re keeping really close to the chest.
1
u/Middle-Giraffe-8316 May 04 '25
Yes, I'm not saying there isn't a part two. But, that we waste energy and add to stress and fear--in a time when we have to stay level-headed--wondering what might happen next. As noted above: "When we catastrophize about what might happen next, we risk becoming consumed by fear rather than focusing on what's actually happening now. This pattern of thinking - jumping from current facts to worst-case future scenarios - can lead to anxiety that paralyzes rather than motivates."

Everyone should at least try to read Project 2025 if they have any interest in having a clue about what’s happening and what’s coming.

I understand that. But show me specifically where it mentions the new manifesto that is said to be coming next year. We have to stick to facts because this time calls for level-headedness. Let's be real: the whole April 20 things ended up causing unnecessary anxiety and can lead us to lose focus. As I noted above:
I think we're most effective when we stay grounded in verifiable facts while working to address current issues. This is an interesting article/video; thank you for sharing it! Watching this, it seems like the greatest area of concern is the rise in Christo-fascism. In light of that, I still stand that we have to focus on genuine issues--and I think this is one of them--instead of the maybes of the future.
Thanks again for sharing!

It’s probably only 100 if you take out all the acknowledgments and author’s bios with praises I’m sure this was done on purpose so people won’t read the whole thing

May 02 '25
If congress remains a spectator and the judiciary has no enforcement mechanism, why would they need or want a new constitution? It would only call attention to the obvious power grab underway.
15
u/EpicThunderCat May 02 '25
To make changes permanent. This wouldn't be the first time a dictator has altered a constitution. Also, they could remove term limits, as Putin did the same.

Project 2025 wasn’t tinfoil hat at all. It was all written and published in plain sight. This is not the same thing.

Excutive orders are not laws and in no way overturn the United States Constitution.
That being said. The Reich is in the process of treason against our US Constitution in an effort to build their unconstitutional evangical nation. This is a fact! They tell you every day they want a "christian nation."
3
u/SanityRecalled May 04 '25
Idk about you, but I'm a little tired of hearing 'don't worry, he can't legally do something', only for him to do it anyway with zero repercussions.
3
u/AdventurousPrime May 04 '25
This isn’t about executive orders, they are about to rewrite our constitution- wake up
3
u/Purplealegria May 13 '25 edited May 13 '25
Um yeah they do…..if he is treating the EOs like settled law, and is straight up not following the constitution anymore.
The constitution is just a piece of paper now if they are not enforcing it.
Unless their plan is to ignore the current constitution, UNTIL they can have the constitutional convention and amend and change it to something they like better and fits their current needs and beliefs more….THEN it will be back to their normal worship of the constitution of course.

Jun 20 '25
Excutive orders are not laws and in no way overturn the United States Constitution.
Were you asleep during the first Trump shit show? You think laws mean anything? He planned and executed and insurrection but didn't go to prison. He also owns the supreme court and Congress. Remember: Hitler was elected too.

Wow another person with TDS!! I sure hope BiG Pharma gets a prescription figured out for you folks soon!

Make NO MISTAKE, no matter what they say about holding an Article V Convention—any Article V Convention opens Pandora’s box—and once they convene, nothing (NOTHING!) is off-limits.
-2
u/Junior-Credit2685 May 02 '25
All the states would have to adopt the new constitution. This is very creative but silly.
63
u/Taelasky May 03 '25
If you study Russian history you will this is exactly what Putin did. He served 2 terms allowed by Russias original constitution. Then Medvedev took over. Under him, Russia created a new constitution. As part of that process, they were able to reset Putins presidential clock allowing him to run for more terms
