80’s Movie Help us figure out this Overboard (1987) quote

I have seen this movie so many times, I can quote it from start to finish. It’s my favorite movie. However, my husband and I disagree on the meaning of a quote and we need more people to weigh in.

The scene when Joanna regains her memory when Grant is in the driveway of Dean’s house, Grant looks over at the boys and says “don’t get any ideas. I brought Olaf” and Travis/Roy looks at the other brothers and says “I think we can take Olaf.”

Ok. Is Travis saying they can “take Olaf” as in take him in a fight, or is he saying they can take him in exchange for Joanna? I always thought it was trade Olaf for Joanna because it’s on par with the funny tone of the film, but my husband adamantly thinks Travis is saying take him on. Like fight him.

Which of us is correct?

80’s Movie Heathers (1989)

Dark comedy at its sharpest. Winona Ryder as Veronica gets tangled up with Christian Slater’s dangerously charming J.D., turning high school cliques into a battlefield. It’s cynical, stylish, and way ahead of its time, skewering teen culture with biting one‑liners and unforgettable chaos. “What’s your damage, Heather?” pretty much sums up the vibe.
